TNA only have 2 actual ppvs.
2.
And yet they can't plan out how to lay out the ppv with months of time to do so. Another entry into the LOLTNA files.

This is the type of show that you wouldn't buy even if you was paid to watch it.

Instead of ordering this show, you could get three months of the WWE network where you get monthly PPVs and all the backlog of PPVs, Raws, SDs, WCW, ECW, etc. Why people would ever pay for a TNA PPV is beyond me, especially now.
TNA should just start up a streaming service for their PPVs. They might actually get some people that buy the shows then.

Used to be TNA had Lockdown, where every match was a cage match. I think for Slammiversary, every match will be an empty arena match.

Welcome to Who's Slamiversary is it Anyways, where the booking's made up and the matches don't matter. Even Drew Carey would reject an induction in the TNA Hall of Fame.

Dixie: I know who we can induct, a WWE Hall of Famer, I'll get him on the phone. Pete Rose: Hello. Dixie: Hey Pete, I know you're willing to sign anything for a buck, to the point where I can get autographed Pete Rose cards for $8.00. I was wondering how about you join the TNA Hall of Fame, and do a signing for us? Pete Rose: For the 4,256th time, NO!

Does TNA even have enough people on their payroll (lol) for a KOTM match? It's going to be Manik, Abyss, Matt Hardy, Bob Ryder and the sound stage guy that actually received a cheque that one time; everyone else boycotts the show. Nah, that's how they are gonna get people to wrestle. The prize in KOTM is gonna be two months' worth of pay. "Hey, this briefcase is empty!" *the lights in the arena go dark* It seems appropriate for the show celebrating their Slammiversary to be a complete disaster. To really add to it, they should throw a bunch of guys under hoods to come out and wrestle twice. This show desperately needs a Spider Man and the Executioners.

In case you were on the fence about buying this PPV with nothing on it, here's something to entice you. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}No Buys {Spoiler}{Spoiler} A "Jersey Shore" spoof vs. a steroid-filled "Big Brother" contestant. This is what is supposed to seperate you from $30.

EC3 when you have a main event like this. Now I hope they do main event with this. I want this to be the last match in company history. It's the perfect way for them to go out. The match gets close to it's conclusion, Abyss comes out and falls into some tacks randomly as the referee declares Robbie and Jessie winners by DQ as they hug and the show goes off the air ... followed by TNA, 2002-2015 R.I.P graphic.

So Challenge's advert for Slammiversary - which is showing free on Challenge live, not sure if that's been said on here yet - features a clip of Kurt Angle... then clips of Hogan and AJ Styles.
Nice one Challenge!

Nice one Challenge! I did mention last week that it would be live on Challenge, but it's worth pointing out again considering it's the first (and last?) ppv we'll be getting live. I get what they were going for with the ad, that it's history making, and I was thinking that it's fair enough - not everybody's still going to be with the company. Then they paused on a picture of Hogan. Looking at next Sunday, we have: 9:00 - Impact 11:00 - Wrestle Talk TV 12:00 - Unfinished Business 01:00 - Slammiversary

This has always been their problem with PPVs and why they've failed so miserably in that sector. TNA PPVs are about as meaningless as they come. There was the hope that when they went from 12 to 6 (4?), they'd start placing adequate importance on them and spend those months building them up but nothing changed. They still announce random matches the week before the event. They still have many of their biggest matches on TV. It's no surprise that the expectation of most is that the Impact after a PPV will be more eventful than the PPV itself.
