....throw your controller.
We've all had them in games, but I thought I'd make this one specifically for the wrestling genre.
I'm trying to think of specific situations, and I'm sure they have been as basic as getting pinned my the computer after busting my ass for ten or fifteen minutes, there was one time where I was doing a season mode in one of the Smackdown vs. Raw games and I was on the road to the World title and I won the Royal Rumble, and I forget why, but for some reason, I was better off losing the Rumble and then I would have gotten a title shot through some shenanigans that I didn't know about until AFTER the fact. Anyone recall this?
Anyway, how about you?

Basically any handicap match in No Mercy. Season mode vs. the APA. Worst thing ever. Took me many, many times to get by it.

Generally whenever computers seem to go into reverse everything mode.
It happens in most of them where all of a sudden in the middle of hte match you can't hit the computer.
Oddly a lot of the big ones people mention I didn't have much of a problem with, the APA handicap match or the 4 way cage match form Day of Reckoning 2.

Start Royal Rumble mode in Wrestlefest....only to run at your opponent and forget that he could catch you and then throw you over the top rope. I had a game end in seconds that way.

Raw 2 against my cousin. Because all he'd do is RUN AWAY the entire match.

WrestleMania 21 for the Xbox, this game came out in 2005 and had amazing graphics but terrible gameplay. In season mode you had to face Matt Hardy in a table match. I struggled so much to win this match that I threw the controller and broke the mini LCD screen that I was playing on.

Playing a Royal Rumble match on the first Smackdown game. In comes Paul Bearer (because there weren't enough wrestlers on the game), and he immediately irish whips you out of the match.

I almost did playing Attitude Era mode on WWE 13. The one I had trouble with was beating Chris Jericho (time limit? Table? I forget) but I just couldn't beat that sucker. I would have said forget it, but that was the last one I needed to accomplish to get everything.

I remember getting upset over the Money In The Bank match in SvR 2007. Going for the MITB trophy meant fighting on Legend difficulty, which meant the computers reversed everything. Ended up having to play five times, each of them going roughly 30 minutes.
Wrestlemania 19 for the Gamecube was pretty frustrating at times as well. Mainly when trying to climb a huge wall and getting knocked off every time I got halfway up.

Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth
Everything's going fine until Biker-taker whips you into the turnbuckles. From there he does his mid-section strikes and begins a series of moves that, no matter what time in your match he begins, there's no reversals for until your life is completely depleted.
Coincidentally, Bikertaker has a weird weakness where you can whip HIM into the turnbuckles into infinity. Just whip-strike-whip-strike-whip until he just collapses.

Wrestlemania XIX on Gamecube where the career mode didn't take place in the ring but backstage and in parking garages. Most frustrating game I've ever played. AI was cheap and relentless.

Assuming this won't be the only reference to the Day of Reckoning set of games on the Gamecube, but the AI in the first one could be a gip. There'd be storyline matches that you're not supposed to win, yet you're not aware of that going in. Having a flawless AI decking you from all angles is an arse to contend with, really.
The Flair/Big Show (depending on brand) match you have when you're signed is stomach-turning. Someone here said it was beatable, but not committing the faculties to that when it's not a must-win. Makes it all the more delicious when you do get to deck them later on, though.
Still a quality game that holds up, mind.

Smackdown vs. Raw 2008. I played season mode as Kane, got up to No Way Out, the McMahon family gangs up on me, and I'm screwed. I believe they stripped me of the WHC even though I won at the PPV.

Basically any handicap match in No Mercy. Especially in the WWF title storyline, if you got eliminated early in the Royal Rumble, the rest of the story is you in handicap, matches with interferes which basically makes it a handicap match, or matches that you have to win in under 3 minutes. In fact any match in No Mercy you had to win in under 3 minutes.
