What does Bob Ryder even do? I know he's one of the failures from WCW that latched onto TNA but nothing else despite hearing that name a lot in the past few days. I swear to God, until like the last page or so, I thought everyone was talking about Zack Ryder's dad. I was wondering why the hell he'd care so much about TNA. I was picturing a middle-aged middle management corporate pencil pusher with a pot belly, but he spikes his hair, wears a headband, and says "Woo Woo Woo" around the office.

Everything is coming up TNA'd. Just when you think they can't f*** something up or nothing else can go wrong, good ol' TNA keeps showing it can get much worst.

Now with Bayley calling Meltzer news about "missing NXT events due to injury" stupid, would this kinda hurt Meltzers credibility about TNA "dying" in September? It's not like Meltzer is some anonymous guy on reddit, the dude has a long track record. It would take something a lot bigger than potentially being wrong about a developmental talent being injured to hurt his credibility.

Eh, I'm ALMOST willing to concede him the point, in a weird way. TNA is unquestionably a "brand". It's a fetid, poisonous, slowly rotting from the inside out brand, but it IS a brand. Changing the name at this point will do literally nothing good for them, and might, in some strange way, chase away easily confused viewers who won't "get" the name change. I don't know about that, the Impact name/brand is pretty much as established as the TNA brand. Plus a brand is important beyond the fans/consumers. Advertisers don't like pro wrestling but a pro wrestling company named TNA is just making things significantly harder for itself. Exactly. I'll concede that TNA is a brand, but there's no point having a brand if it's both giving out the wrong impression, and driving advertisers away. Though in fairness, I'd bet that the name could be SEX and Bob Ryder would claim it's "too established to change". Now with Bayley calling Meltzer news about "missing NXT events due to injury" stupid, would this kinda hurt Meltzers credibility about TNA "dying" in September? Injuries in wrestling are pretty ambiguous a lot of the time anyway, so it's a fairly easy thing to get wrong.

Last I heard he was some sort of travel agent for the boys and crew. Anyway it's so funny that TNA is announcing these re-signings as an attempt to spin some positive news for TNA.

Everyone gets something wrong sometimes, but huge stories tend to be a lot more closely vetted and developed. Injuries are fairly innocuous and can change rapidly. If you're trying to find evidence that Dave Meltzer has been wrong sometimes, you dont' have to look very hard. But he hasn't been around for so long because he's bad at what he does, and his track record on the big things is still good.

The thing you have to remember as well is that TV companies are very rarely going to come out and say 'Hey, we're cancelling this show' unless the really have to.
Most of the news about shows not getting renewed don't come from companies saying as such, but come from reading between the lines from shows that DO get renewed, then following up from sources after that.
At this point with the internet and really passionate fans, nobody wants to be the bad guy in that situation, justified or not.

On the list of dirtiests rumors both Chris Harris and Abyss were Bob Ryder's "young boys", don't know if it's true I said allegedly.
Also that email man, Russo was consipring against Jim and Jeff from the beginning, he was smooching Dixie from day one

Business-wise, Russo's a weasel who probably saw Dixie as being the easiest person to get close to since Jeff and Jim knew about Russo and what he did. It worked out for him I suppose, but nothing in that email is shocking to me.

Man, if R-Truth was really treated that way in TNA, no wonder he left for WWE. What an awful way to treat your employees.
