Just listened to Cornette's podcast with Meltzer, apparently sometime ago Russo emailed Joe Koff to try to get a job with ROH....that would've been interesting I would seriously love to know how Russo tried to sell himself to ROH to make himself sound even remotely like someone they would be interested in bringing in. I can't even fathom how that would've gone.

Wasn't Russo just spouting some crap about never watching ROH and having no clue who anybody is?
Oh wait, those probably aren't requirements for Russo booking.

Wait, time-out. Was Dan Engler's ref name in TNA, Rudy Charles, a rib on Konnan?

I don't think I've ever seen a network blatantly disown a product still under contract the way that Destination America has done. They really should've given themselves a shorter period to decide whether TNA was working for them or not, because it's going to get pretty messy if the next 4 months are full of DA taking obvious potshots at TNA.

When Dixie bought TNA, she had no idea how to run a wrestling company. That's a fact. She didn't become an incompetent goof by herself. She hired many people along the way. Many of those were former WCW management. They along with Jeff, who I think gets more credit than he deserves, taught Dixie what she knows about wrestling. And they made WCW-esqe mistakes along the way. Now they're dying a horrible, prolonged death because of it.

I expect that the new format of the show is gonna be like Mystery Science Theatre 3000 and just talk shit about the company, another option is to show pop ups where they just showcase TNA failures, "did you know that TNA lost 1.5 million viewers in one week?" Then show photos of the attendance on the house shows. Or have Jay Briscoe win a handicap match against all of the TNA roster on one night, then have him throw everytitle to a pile of garbage and then every DA executive would piss on it

I would love it if, some how, some way, the last person to ever hold the TNA World Championship was Christopher Daniels.

I'm trying to remember examples where people pissed off execs and the execs killed the show. You have ECW on TNN and I remember Titus getting the shit can due to Chris going off on an exec, but that's all I remember right now.

Simple, find the person high enough in the food chain that they have power, but are far enough removed that they don't actually know anything about it and vaguely remember the Attitude era being a things, and claim credit for it. Sadly for him, Sinclair seem pretty hands off and let actual wrestling people do their jobs.

TNA is just mad at everyone these days: Dave Meltzer, Destination America, Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe fans, etc. It just plays into the whole "Who the hell would ever want to work with these people" scenario that Meltzer reported on . Pretty much, they're imploding in spectacular fashion. And it sucks for the guys who are busting their asses and doing everything they can, and doing it right.

I can imagine him writing, "Joe bro, I don't think Nigel, an Englishman, should be the representative of the brand, a friend of mine watched the show, he liked Kyle O'reilly and Bobby Fosh, but was confused about Nigel, he believes that the executive should be a 60 year old man just like you, and I agree with that, you should be on tv you're a natural, it would be worth our wild"

I actually expect the opposite, TNA to shit on DA in blatant but not so good fashion.WWE was able to make RTC a thing and then at that a focal point but I don't think TNA can be that clever. I bet we get some guy named Dennis Aldridge who comes out in red, white, and blue chew tobacco and get his ass whooped.
