what are some things in wrestling that make you feel old? For me its Cena and Orton's current positions on the card. When i was 11/12 and started watching wrestling, Cena and Orton were the young guns on the rise. Orton was the youngest World champion at 24 (only a year older than me right now) and the young guy that was the "legend killer". Cena was a fresh up and comer with his rap gimmick and even when I joined the board in 2007, he was still the young top guy at 30 with years of success to come. Now they are both the old men/veterans of the roster just like how HHH/HBK/Undertaker was back in 04/05. HHH was one of the top guys on the show, and now hes the semi-retired COO of the company

When some guy on an internet wrestling forum started a thread by reminiscing about how Cena and Orton were starting their rise to the top when he first started watching at 11 years old.
Actually it's more the stuff from say 2008 that gets me, I think of it as recent history when it was 7 years ago. That's a longer period of time than RR92 to Austin's peak in '98 but doesn't feel like it.

Yesterday my friend pointed out that it's been 19 years since Scott Hall invaded Nitro. That made me feel old as dirt, considering I was in junior high when that happened.

I was in elementary school when Kane debuted. It has been 19 years since the nWo formed. I recently watched SummerSlam 91 on the Network, but remember renting it on VHS.

I remember Hulk Hogan in WWF in the 90s. That always makes me feel old.
(Edit: I was very very young then and don't remember Hogan in the 80s......)

Remember the phrase "a decade of destruction" that they used when talking about Undertaker? That was more than a decade ago.

Seeing Hogan at the end of his prime on SmackDown in 2003. After that, he sorta fell apart with all the surgeries. The Torrie Wilson/Dawn Marie feud. A young and charismatic Randy Orton getting a massive pop at a house show as opposed to now, even had his own fan site. Always hearing about Sting having talks with WWE through the dirt sheets that year. Angelfire/Tripod/Geocities were the place to read old WWF/WWE reports of events along with tape trading and rare WWF/WWE pictures.

I feel like I only got into wrestling again recently, but it was when the Nexus debuted which was almost 5 years ago.
It's even crazier when I realise that i've been a wrestling fan for 15 years

Wwf wrestlemania challenge was the first wwf video game I would play. Mine was WWF Wrestlefest. I remember in the early 90s as a kid with my twin brother going to Peter Pipers pizza in San Fernando Valley putting many a tokens in Wrestlefest and Street Fighter II. The saddest part was looking at Hulk Hogan on the arcade screen telling me to "Insert More Tokens for Power" when I had no more tokens. Then I would eat a Perfect Plex and lose. Looking back it now, with the wrestling knowledge I know, I always tell myself Vinnie Mac was at Gorilla Position telling me to put Mr Perfect over at Saturday Nights Main Event. Haha I gladly did and he was a made video game character that night at Peter Pipers Pizza

Me writing a letter to Hulk Hogan in 1990/91 to destroy Sgt. Slaughter and asking for an autograph. I think I got the address to WWF headquarters in their magazine.

I've been watching since I was super little so I saw a bunch of the Hogan Era/New Generation/Attitude Era.
But I'm starting to feel old thinking about how Rock/Cena was made a year in advance and I felt at the time that that would take FOREVER to actually happen. Then I blinked and now that match happened over 3 years ago. Hell the frickin rematch was over 2 years ago!
I'm at the point of my life where years are starting to feel as long as months.
