I remember a few months back, people complained about Rusev having the US Title because it was obvious he was losing to Cena, and Barrett suffering from the IC Title curse
Now with Cenas weekly challenge and the incoming Elimination Chamber for the IC Title...what are your thoughts of each belt now?

I feel like the US has, but not IC yet. And I don't trust WWE to care about the US when Cena loses it.

I don't think we'll know for sure until the belts are actually on the more "unprotected" talent again.

Elevated? Yes. To an appropriate level? No.
But most importantly, we still have no clue which one matters more.

I love how the U.S. title has been used. I just wish Swagger would accept it. I haven't seen much with the IC title due to Bryan's injury, but I hope whatever he was going to do with the title someone else does. I hope it's Ryback! I just hope the U.S. and IC title get unified after Cena's reign because i don't see it getting any higher.

Well, obviously, the IC Title is a special case because of the Bryan situation, so I don't think it's fair to look at it in the same light at the U.S.
As for the U.S., I think it has been elevated, thanks to John Cena's open challenges. They've all been very good matches so far and have been featured prominently.
Now, you can argue that Kevin Owens devalued it again this week, but I can overlook that because it made the NXT Title look strong and the whole segment made him look like a killer.

I still would like to see proper storylines and intense feuds over the titles to make them look important.

I feel like there's no point in having both since they're on the same level, and the majority of the upper midcard guys are guys who could easily be world title contenders, so it now feels like we have three upper card belts and zero midcard titles.

I think the US title has probably been elevated, but it'll depend some on where it goes from here. So far it's been handled well.
IC title, it's hard to say, but obviously luck hasn't been on their side.

Vacant is elevating the IC title, as he has all the other titles in his glorious history.

I don't see the Elimination Chamber match elevating the IC title, because it's still the same guys wrestling for it. It is cool to see them do a gimmick match for the midcard, though.
The title reign that follows is the only way the actual title gets elevated in my eyes.

Cena with the US title is probably a special case, like when main-eventers hang out in the tag scene.
We'll see what happens after.

Not really. D-Bry could have elevated the IC title, but we all, know how that turned out. But putting the U.S. title on Cena is worse. No one is beating Cena for that belt until it's time for Cena go after the WWE WHC again. This open challenge is just plain insulting.

Once Cena drops the belt we will get a better glimpse of how much it has been elevated when we see how much attention they pay to it. Come to think of it, is Orton even a grand slam champion because he never had the US belt. Why not make him one of Cena surprise challengers I know we've seen them wrestle a million times but they always put on a decent match. As far as the IC title goes it's getting their but just like with Cena you got to see how they make good on their talent holding the title.

Having both belts is pointless anyway. Maybe my thinking is too literal, but I can't buy the champion of one country being equal to the champion of every continent.

Not really.
The I.C title seems like a curse to have and the U.S IMO is just a prop for Cena to hold up so he can say "The champ is here".

The US, yes, its as meaningful as the IC was in the 80s-90s.

I think the United States Title has been helped, but we'll have to wait and see when it's not on one of the top guys in the company. That will be the real test to see if they can be booked well.
