Gorilla Monsoon To me, he's the greatest wrestling announcer ever, but apparently some thought he sucked, which baffles me. Honestly, he was pretty terrible, but in an endearing way. He wasn't terrible like today's announcers where their stupidity and obnoxiousness are overbearing, but rather he just came off really dumb. Like an old half-senile ogre doing commentary.

Eminem's album "Recovery" Eh. I was fine with it at first but now that Em has shown that he can still do significantly better with MMLP2, the album really falls flat. It's just boring more than anything. Fine but nowhere near the kind of album you'd want someone of Em's caliber to drop. Still, after the miserable Encore and Relapse albums, "fine" might as well have been "great." I liked Encore and Relapse.

Amazing Spider-Man 2 is one of the most recent things to come to mind where I can't understand any negative reaction towards it. To me it's everything a comic movie should be.

With the Gorilla hate I've always viewed through somewhat of a paradoxical lense, pretty much for the reason you pointed out. It's like I can get the reason for the hate, but at the same time I don't understand how you can hate anyone for that reason. I love Gorilla by the way

Superman killing Zod was perfectly fine, especially because Zod was going to kill an innocent family if he didn't. the movie did have its flaws but the false equivalency of killing a superpowered mass murdering psychopath meaning you're the same as him is a grating and stupid thing that's plagued superhero comics for years.

While I wouldn't say I love this episode, but the Doctor Who episode "Love and Monsters", I thought it was fun and something different but I came online and it's often listed as people's least favourites. it was actually a decent episode until the "man f***s paving slab" ending. a 2 minute scene ruined the entire episode. plus, the idea that the Doctor would condemn a woman to live the rest of her life as a paving slab seems extremely cruel and short-sighted of him.

Forget that, what about half of Metropolis? And that isn't even taking into account what the SFX they chose made the crumbling buildings look like.

RE: Man of Steel. It wasnt just Superman killing Zod, it was just that the whole film had a depressing, dark feel that looked like it was trying to be the Superman equivalent of the Dark Knight series, and Supes himself was too deadly serious for the most part. Say what you will about Reeve, but i much prefer his more optimistic Superman who still took things seriously, but also had a great sense of humor ("Elevator broken?"). Even the film was de-saturated to give it a "darker" look. All that said, i did like the final battle.

Because TDK didn't work because it fit Batman's mood, it worked because ALL superheroes should have a realistic, darker tone. In other words... wait for it... ..."Because, DC."

Now the Scrappy-Doo thing...OK, high school me was beginning to dread the 1980-82 versions when TBS and TNT reran them, but not so much because of Scrappy, but because no Daphne, Fred, and Velma. So I wasn't shocked when I discovered the Internet in 1995 and saw that Scooby fans hated the Scrappy era...but in retrospect, they took it out of proportion.
Actually, I didn't know how reviled Batman and Robin, and the Schumacher era in general, was for like a year or so. And I LOVED Superman IV as a kid!!
The 1990 versions of both Barry-Enright game shows. Again, high school me LIKED the Rapping Dragon!
Don't laugh, but...El Gigante/Giant Gonzalez. I can name a lot of Wrestlecrap I loved, some sarcastically, some seriously.
What about ECW? When I got on RSPW I figured everyone would be loving it, then I discovered Herb Kunze and the like picking the holes that would be even more obvious in retrospect.

Flim Flam was way worse than Scrappy. He never got any comeuppance, and he was so smug about it.
Another Spider-Man one: I like Ultimate and Spectacular roughly the same. They're both easier for me to watch as an adult than the 90's cartoon was.

Oh....the Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour. One of my favorite shows in the 1st grade, albeit short-lived...then my time on the internet exposed me to the evils of not being the originals, too many NBC stars, Jon Bauman, no bluffs or etc. in HS, etc. etc.

Modt Abso-lutely Production shows. My friends and I love Tim and Eric, Check It Out! with Steve Brule, and The Eric Andre Show. Now, these shows have a sizable audience, but the general public is either weirded out, confused, or annoyed with the hysterical chaos of these shows.

Although chalk me up as another one that prefers Recovery to MMLP2. edit: as for Man Of Steel, the Zod death wasn't what bothered me, since that was comics canon for a while. It was literally everything else about that contradictory, unnecessarily dark, overly serious and at times painfully dumb ('no son, don't use your super powers to save me from this hurricane that I am only trapped by because I went to save a f***ing dog, like an absolute moron. The public can never know! Isn't it unlucky that we were arguing like five minutes ago?')

I echo everyone who said Amazing Spider Man 2. A few other ones: -The movie Wild Wild West. I had a blast when I watched it as a kid, and I enjoy it even now. It's a fun, lighthearted action-adventure with awesome steampunk visuals and Will Smith being as charismatic and fun to watch as usual. -Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. I loved this game, and thought that finally, we had 3D Castlevania done right. Good action and controls. Beautiful graphics. And some of the best music in the entire CV series (and for Castlevania, that's saying something). And yet, nobody seems to hold it in high regard. -Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion. My favorite character in that entire anime. I empathized with him so much, and see a lot of myself in him. And...all he gets from the fanbase is abuse. Poor kid can't catch a break.

Superman 64.
Just kidding, it sucked.
I know a lot of people hate the new incarnation of Alice in Chains because Layne Staley isn't in it (as an aside, I never understood why they shouldn't have been able to continue when it was Staley who decided to kill himself for the most part. It's not like they wouldn't love to have him here still), but I think they are fine. Not as good as the old days, but their albums have good stuff on it.
