I am only in the first episode of season 2 of Arrow. And therefore I have not yet watched The Flash either. However I read the recent news that Flash will explore the multiverse, how cool would it be to have Tom Welling as Superman and Justin Hartley as The Green Arrow crossing over into their new dc tv universe?

I have been hoping that this is simply an inevitability now especially with the multiverse and idk how they don't go for it simply on the basis that the tv and movie universes will never crossover and it is only inevitable that SuperGirl will crossover with Flash and Arrow which already has shown SuperMan exsists in that world.
I would love if Justin Hartleys Green Arrow is the one that inevitably puts it over the top for Stephen Amells arrow to not be so damn serious if the 2 characters ever meet.....and plus I just want Chloe and Felicity to interact.

Once you add The Flash and everything involved with his story, you can pretty much do whatever you want.

Anything that gives the world more Chloe Sullivan is a good thing.

My hope for the DCU TV and movieverse is that the eventual plan IS to set up a Crisis movie that pulls from EVERY show and movie they've done. But a show like FLASH dealing with the multiverse works just as well.

I'm glad to see others have been wanting this as well. I'm always surprised at how many people either quit watching or never liked Smallville to begin with. I mean it has some down moments, but it started well and finished very strong. I was bummed when Arrow recast Ollie, but obviously that turned out well.
The multiverse could also incorporate the original Flash series, maybe Adam West and Burt Ward? It has a ton of potential.

I absoloutely cannot stand people that wanna wrag on smallville without any understanding of the time the show was on the air and the problems that show faced unlike flash and arrow that have full backing of the network. Smallvilles budget was cut every season and also the head of the CW (I forget her name) absoloutley hated the show and also all the red tape that was put on the show....nope can't use batman can't even mention him , can't use bruce wayne , can't even use alfred because it eludes to Batman.

I absolutely understand the problems it faced. None of the things you listed made it suck, bad writing and not knowing when to end did. Besides, every show and movie faces problems behind the scenes in some way, it's no excuse for lack of quality. A good team of writers and a good crew will work around those issues. Also, this is also clearly just my opinion, so if you liked that show good for you, but personally I don't want to see it become part of the Flash/Arrowverse.

The show is not perfect but it was nowhere near as bad as anyone says it is. Yes like any show it has its bad moments(season 4 , the witches story arc etc) but way more often than not it has many many positives and did alot of awesome things.

If you like it, then to you it is a good show. If I thought it sucked, then to me it sucked. Neither is right or wrong. So if someone says it's the worst show ever, then to them that is true.

I'm just wondering if they'll have Tom Welling return as Superman for the eventual appearance in the upcoming Supergirl series....since in the pilot they never showed his face.

Well thanks to this thread I just spent the last two hours and change on the Smallville Wiki reigniting my unhealthy obsession of Allison Mack. If she has me arrested this time I'm blaming you people.

Unfortunately, there seems to be similar red tape being applied to Arrow when it comes to Suicide Squad. Between Deadshot being killed so he could be in the movie and them not being allowed to use Harley Quinn, I'm sorta worried that DC is going to cripple these shows when movies start coming out.

As much as I liked Hartley's Ollie, it bugged the shit out of me that his primary weapon was a crossbow.

I really don't think they should. Smallville, while it had a loyal fanbase, was a very different fanbase. Arrow and especially The Flash are geared much more towards that male comic book/sci-fi fan demographic, and treat the material with a good dose of respect. Smallville was pretty far removed from the DC and Superman mythos and really crapped all over a lot of it. Yeah, multiverse and all that, but it'd just give bad vibes to put Smallville stink on The Flash.
