Forget the new hipster Hamburgler, THIS creeps me right the hell out. And there are a slew of ads to further enforce the point.
A real (dead) person becoming a 'franchised' character mascot, mixed with Hammond doing (I think) an accurate-ish impersonation of the actual Sanders.
.........gah. To say the least.

I mean, Colonel Sanders being a character mascot isn't anything new for KFC especially if you've ever been to Asia.

Quick, lets remake "Hell's Bloody Devils"! (On a side note, that was probably the most awkward cameo ever)

Not even New in America, considering he died in 1980 the majority of people here who have seen a commercial with Sanders in it was most likely done by an impersonator. Not to mention The late 90's early 2000's they had a cartoon version of Colonel Sanders (Voiced by Randy Quaid) the one commercial I've seen Hammond's voice impression was alright but his laugh was all wrong Hammond went for a more ehehehe laugh while Sanders laugh was much more boisterous.

It's not as creepy as the Orville Reddenbacher ad with the CGI Orville, at least.

I'm not sure I like the tone. I'd prefer a more sincere Col. Sanders.

I love that commercial. It never felt right not having the Colonel around before. The local KFC we have has been mostly good thanks to them having a good manager.

So that is who it is. I saw the commercial late last night and was creeped out real good before going to sleep.

Oh, I hate the Colonel with his wee beady eyes, and that smug look on his face. "Oh, you're gonna buy my chicken! Ohhhhh!"

It's not as creepy as the Orville Reddenbacher ad with the CGI Orville, at least. And nothing's as creepy as a then-dead for 4 years Bob Monkhouse talking about dying of prostate cancer while looking at his own tombstone.

I work with a woman that went to church with the Colonel. She said he swore a lot-that's all I have to add to this.
