Why not just make a FIFA Womens game with more teams, more players and its own Ultimate Team stuff and the like? Hopefully they do that for 2017 cause that would actually really help the women's game to grow.
Women's football isn't a big thing anywhere. Even in the countries people do care somewhat for it (US, Germany, Scandinavian countries, Brazil, Japan, China) it isn't that big of a phenomenom or success. Heck, several football hotbeds like Southern Europe, most of Latin America and Africa really don't give much attention to it. You would find that most junior men teams have a higher number of attendants than the female ones. Thus, the public that would really buy this would be rather small, thus almost negating a chance for profit whih in turn means that no company would do that on their own.
This- it'll actually grow the women's game more by having it in the men's game (that everyone who enjoys soccer- even all the people who hate the idea- will buy anyway, and thus find out about the women's teams) than in its own game (where people who don't want the sport will play.
As far as it goes- having more options for the game is always better than having less options. The only thing I'd hope is that EA's managed to fix its own weaknesses with AI to accommodate for these teams, since EA is still...EA (if you did want to play a women's season in the game, it'd suck if the AI that automatically signs all the top free agents within a couple transfer windows happens- and suddenly you're playing a women's team in the league, but every single other team in your league is not just staffed with men, but with the best male players on the planet today by virtue of them technically all being in the free agent pool.)
