Have any of you ever tried to watch 2 wrestling shows in a row? I did once, it was back in 2006, firstly I was watching a replay of One Night Stand then later Saturday's night main event was gonna air. I thought that it would be awesome, that 4 hours of wrestling were gonna be perfect.
It all started ok, that ONS was awesome, hell the last 3 matches were awesome, Funk all bloodied up hitting Foley with a fiery 2x4, Sabu vs Rey ending in a no contest, then the emotional roller coaster that was Cena vs RVD, my emotions were at an all time high. Then I started watching Saturday's night main event...
I kid you not I was starting to fill sick about ten minutes later, my head was spinning, I was really tired, it was hard to pay attention to the matches, at the half hour mark I had to turn off the tv because my head was hurting. To this day I haven't tried to watch 2 wrestling programs in a row.
I'm not saying that what happened to me can happen to the viewers, but watching ROH style matches, makes you tired, after all those awesome spots. Hell after an ACH match I need some iime to rest, same with crazy tag team matches. My concern is that after the ROH show ends, you're left on a high note, after all that adrenaline, you can't sustain it while starting to watch another wrestling program right after ROH. I don't think it's gonna be a good idea and that TNA will lose because the viewer will be overexposed to wrestling.
I'm sorry if I have posted this on other threads but I just wanted to share my experiences, I was feeling really spent that day, I don't know if watching that much wrestling could hazard someone's health, it's just that wrestling is different from any other form of entertainment, every single match you watch you create an emotional investment, several times during it you get mad and happy, then excited after watching a highspot.
I want to hear your thoughts and experiences if you ever felt physically spent or sick after watching that much wrestling.

Doesn't bother me because I'll just be watching ROH.

It's weird, it's almost like DA want TNA off of their schedule.

I'm a wrestling geek and often have very little else to do, so hours of wrestling doesn't bother me much but I can how I'm in the minority with that one - 3 hours for Raw especially is too much for many. I've never really had an issue with it.
ROH and TNA are diverse enough products that I can see watching this 3 hour block of TV a lot easier than watching all of Raw in one sitting.

It's very difficult for me to sit down for three hours of wrestling, period, except for big events. For me personally I don't think one wrestling show bleeding into another is a complete dealbreaker, like if ROH and NXT had back to back 90 minute shows, missing them would be a hard bargain. But that's just me, I'm sure casual viewers are not going to have a lot of patience for this.

The thing is that I'm gonna be going from ROH...to TNA. That's basically two opposite ends of the wrestling spectrum in 3 hours.
A fun, usually quick TV show put on by a company that's clearly on the rise followed by two hours of rotten/illogical TV put on by a company that's hanging on by a thread.

If this isn't intended to phase out TNA, if we give DA the benefit of the doubt, I'd say that they may figure there isn't a lot of overlap between fans of both products. People who want to watch Ring of Honor are not necessarily the same people who will go for TNA.
Is that accurate? Probably not, there will likely be sizable overlap, but it might not be entirely bad for them if they get any crossover fans out of it. Not that I am optimistic about those odds.

This is exactly the way I'm anticipating it'd feel like. And it's going to burn TNA bad. Makes you wonder what it would be like if it was the other way around, and TNA was showing before ROH.

Thing is, even if TNA gets some overlap from ROH, they'll just lose them the first time a shitty episode of Impact happens and then those people will know to just watch ROH. Having a show which pretty consistently features great wrestling as the lead-in just puts more pressure on whatever follows to keep people from changing the channel, which is why I see this just making things much worse for TNA.

Then all the pain goes away. For everyone. Forever. Unless Dixie can convince her folks to invest in another f***ing boondoggle.

I have a hard time watching three hours of wrestling now. I remember I use to watch Nitro and then Raw. I'd flip back and forth between them unless one was really bad. I couldn't do it now.

2 hours of TNA is too much, never mind ROH as a lead in.

Well if a certain place I can't name is anything to go buy. ROH and TNA will buddy up, ROH and it's inferior self to be an opener for the main event Impact.
This will of course catapult TNA into the farthest galaxy of ratings and topple that big ol meanie WWE.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I think think this will be bad for roh.
Tna may not have the best production team, but they still present a really professional looking show. I understand Roh's focus isn't one production, but in ring talent, but Roh's current production value looks third rate compared to tna's.

Yeah but that's maybe why DA chose them they're cheaper and maybe can get the same ratings that TNA did, and I don't know man, but the Briscoes would get way over with the DA casual viewers. Another thing I just realized is that this will hurt Dixie's magical +3 and +7 bullshit numbers because the replays of tna would get pushed an hour later.
