Heat and then accidentally got hit on the head, causing a form of amnesia, and she fell in love with Colonel Robert Parker so that while her team faced his team of Bunkhouse Bunk and Dirty Dick Slater she chased him around until an event where they were part of a match and she pinned him with a kiss before getting her memory back and beating him up?

Now I wish I had amnesia. What a crappy angle.

I thought Sherri had a pretty good run in WCW. I dare say close to being as memorable as WWF considering she was with WCW a short time. But, the last few months of her run with Colonel Parker were relatively sad. The angle seemed sort of beneath her character.

No but I do remember an issue of one of the Apter mags. Where the reporter was going to some motel to interview Harlem Heat, and he strongly hinted that when he arrived he heard Harlem Heat "tag teaming" Sherri.

I think the only reason why we remember Sherri managing Harlem Heat is because of her corpsing during the "We comin' for you ...." promo.

Reasons #423 & 424 wrestling was crap in the mid-90s: Bunkhouse Buck and Dick Slater were the WCW Tag-Team Champions in 1995.

I think the only reason why we remember Sherri managing Harlem Heat is because of her corpsing during the "We comin' for you ...." promo. I loved her as their manager. She was credible as a badass, beautiful (even if she became noticeably plump later in their run, it looked great on her), and was believable as their mentor/big sister role. Plus, it was incredibly refreshing to see an interracial wrestler/manager dynamic. WCW was EXTREMELY underrated in their more progressive pushes of non-white ethnicities, even if they had more WWF-style stereotypes like Sonny Onoo, wrestlers like Ultimo Dragon were booked very strongly as guys that could beat any opponent on any given day. Sherri's reaction to Booker's line is even better than Booker's, by the way.

I didn't think either team (including the American Males) were that great.

Early 90's WCW sure loved them some amnesia angles.

I think the only reason why we remember Sherri managing Harlem Heat is because of her corpsing during the "We comin' for you ...." promo. The very first time I ever saw WCW was on their syndicated show and the second segment was Harlem Heat with Sister Sherri being interviewed by Mean Gene, and I became a fan of theirs right then. I knew a lot of people also liked them and always mention Sherri.I actually hadn't even heard of the We coming for you until a couple of years ago.

To me Buck and Slater were a shining light in the darkness that was mid 90s WCW tag teams. The Stud Stable, albeit short lived, was a fun group to watch. When I first got the WWE Network I binge watched a bunch of mid 90s WCW and they were a high light for me.
