Hehe, I was hoping someone would pick up on that. One of my favourite parts of the show whenever he did that ;D Only matched by the Identity Parade and any time Bill Bailey went off on some insane tangent completely unrelated to what was going on.

I just hope that in the future when this film has been forgotten. Someone good will try and make it again but done right this time. Like Chris Nolan did for Batman. The original Batman with Jack Nicholson was great, and Keaton isn't a little puss like Christian Bale. Jack Nicholson played himself in Joker gear, and you call Christian Bale a puss when Keaton was Mr. friggin' Mom?! Bale is awesome. Back on topic, I didn't really mind US Godzilla all that much. True, it's nothing like the original Godzilla, but at least we didn't have to deal with an American version of Gigan or Hedorah or anything.

Kind of off topic, but in topic, why the hell do all Japanese movies look so damn cheap anyway? Even the "big budget" stuff over there looks crappy compaired to TV movies made here! ;D The budgets are simply much smaller. For the record, the biggest budget ever used in a Japanese Godzilla film is US$ 20 million (estimated) while the Hollywood version had a budget of US$ 130 million (estimated). And Godzilla films are probably the most expensive Japanese movies. It's not just the budget tho' small movies in the US with budgets less then 10 million just LOOK so much better then anything I've ever seen come out of Japan, Godzilla or otherwise, it's like they're useing primitive film stock and second rate cammeras or something

In a interview with Dean Devlin, he reveals that the movie made $350 million dollars. However, that total is lost among all of the hatred. In fact, the movie won two Razzies, for Worst Remake or Sequal (tied with The Avengers and Psycho), and worst supporting actress in Maria Pitello. Afterwards, Fox created an animated series which tried to right all the wrongs of the movie. However, it was too late and it was shortly cancelled. And yet... Ever since Godzilla, he's written a whole two movies since then. One was "Universal Soldier: The Return" which most people thought it sucked. The other a film not due in theatres until 2007. Not matter how you spin it, it's clear Hollywood wants to wash its hands of him. - - - - The $350 mill. earnings is actually the worldwide earnings. It only earned $136 mill in the States, barely breaking even with it's production budget. There's also the marketing budget which is separate from the production budget. Sony definitely spent more than $6 mill advertising the film. Therefore, Godzilla lost[/b] money for Sony Pictures domestically.

Both him and Emmerich, the team that put together Independence Day and Stargate, worked together for only one movie since Godzilla. That was another monster movie failure and also a future induction in Eight Legged Freaks.

Were they not responsible for "The Day After Tomorrow"? I've got that in my head for some reason.

A very good induction and definitely worthy of being #1 in the realm of MonsterCrap.
