If I were a betting man id bet that Roh does worse next week ROH this week didn't even get any advertising and was at pretty short notice. I'd say that they will get a minor spike.

Moving nights/being on a new channel means you won't often start with a good rating, but it steadily improves over time. I see TNA getting a better rating next week as well, both of them will get slight spikes in their ratings.

I'd class that rating for TNA as "stick a fork in 'em, they're done". Even if they recover back to their old numbers, it won't be good enough to save them from cancellation.

ROH can only go down once the novelty wears off much like it did with TNA. I don't see them hitting initial TNA numbers of 400+ anytime soon.

And they don't need to hit those numbers to be considered a success. They're a cheaper wrestling program, and if they get in the 200, 300,000 range consistently there's no reason for DA to not keep them on while TNA is a huge money waster if their ratings aren't very good.

So true. Sinclair Media is the company who is paying for ROH's tv show for syndication on their series of networks. All Destination America is doing to paying for the rights to air the show after it aired a couple of days earlier on Sinclair networks. TNA on the other hand needs Destination's money to produce the show and not offering enough to overcome production costs.

I see this thread becoming a regular occurrence if TNA are renewed, every time RoH get a ratings spike 'IT'S ALL OVER FOR TNA!' Seriously, I keep passing through this forum and it's like Vince McMahon commentary, 'THIS COULD BE IT! HE'S GOT HIM! THAT'S IT! ONE, TWO AND.... NO!' DA get RoH, 'WHATTAMANOEUVRE!', TNA move to a new night, 'BIIIIG BACK BODYDROP!'

Has TNA's got so much in a year to drop from 1.1m to 380,000?
The channel have to carry some of this failure too. Have they advertised enough in the right areas or left it all to TNA?

Part of it was DA having far less of a penetration than Spike, so it would be natural that not all of the 1.1m would follow them over. Even so, the dropoff since has been staggering.

1.1 was a joke.
Now it's a lofty goal well beyond reach

As far as advertising goes, DA definitely has failed to promote Impact since I've only ever seen ads for Impact while on DA watching Impact.

DA advertised Impact like crazy, and not just on DA but on the other Discovery owned networks too. They advertised way more than Spike did, which while I'm typing about it Spike advertised a lot more than they're usually given credit for. People not wanting to watch Impact is entirely due to people not wanting to watch TNA.

And yeah, I do remember Spike advertising TNA a lot, and I've even seen TNA ads during Raw which I always found both amusing and awesome.

Monsters and Mysteries in America is the only other show besides wrestling I watch on DA, and there were quite a few ads in the episodes I watched granted it's been awhile, they had ads during ROH, and they even paid for an ad in USA Today. Contrast that with ROH getting no ads.

As long as Panda Energy is still cutting checks, some network thinks pro wrestling can bring in viewers for the rest of their crappy lineup, and Dixie hopes her vanity project will lead to the reality show she so crave: TNA will live on. Barely.

I mean yeah, TNA is TECHNICALLY alive but let's be real here. They are dead. You know it, whoever's reading this post. I know it. Most of the talent knows it even if they want to put on a happy face. The only person that doesn't know it is Dixie Carter. Even if TNA survives this DA debacle, they are gonna be nothing more but a low-level indie with a bunch of bums fighting over breadcrums headlined by Manik vs. Khoya for all of 5 people in the crowd.
