The problem is that, the crazier Chyna acts and goes through- the more beneficial it'd be for WWE to actually GIVE her a Hall of Fame shot. She has more power being OUT of the Hall of Fame right now than she'd ever have being IN the Hall of Fame. There is something to be said for just ripping it off like a Band-Aid and getting it over with: The concept of "give her one token $25,000 payoff and a Hall of Fame induction, likely scripted (and pull her the second she inevitably goes off script...but in exchange, WWE never has to mention Chyna ever again for all eternity" would be a shrewder decision than just "let Chyna go as if they ignore her, say whatever she wants for attention, and eternally have a power of 'the biggest name who's out of the Hall of Fame, presumably to never be allowed in' would give her. Why should they give in to blackmail when they, for once, haven't done anything wrong? It's not just about giving in to blackmail as much as it is taking away Chyna's aura. Again, it goes down to the same, simple fact: As long as Chyna is not in the WWE Hall of Fame, she's going to have power as "the biggest WWE star to NOT make it into the WWE Hall of Fame". Due to that fact, the best way to ignore Chyna- is to put her IN the Hall of Fame, in which case she becomes "just another Hall of Famer who's a train wreck"- no different than Sunny or Iron Sheik. Indeed, Sunny's a good comparison with her being just as much of a train wreck who's apparently going into porn. The difference, however, was Sunny's already been honored- so WWE can politely "just happen" to decide never to speak of her again and no one would notice or care. Chyna's at a point right now where she'll be more remembered if she's forgotten about by the WWE, so it's better for them to remember her "once" with a Hall of Fame induction, knowing that the second they do that, they've closed the book on Chyna in the WWE. She can safely be forgotten about, decide never to speak of her again, and she won't have that same power she would have outside of the Hall of Fame.

Well they always need something controversial for the Hall of Fame, so you never ever know. But overall, do they have beef with her? So Triple H went on Austins show and said its unlikely she would go in.. thats it. She still gets mentioned in diva video packages, shows, nostaligic clips etc. They havent ignored her existence like they have Chris Benoit. What does she actually want? I didnt listen as I am at work, but I think they are more at peace with it than she is.. sooo...? Is this just about the Hall of Fame?
Maybe seeing Alundra Blayze go in gave her hope.. but im sorry, Blayze's speech was awesome. I doubt Chyna could touch that.

Chyna wants to make peace in much the same way that Japan wanted to make peace w/ the US a few years after Pearl Harbor.

She can safely be forgotten about, decide never to speak of her again, and she won't have that same power she would have outside of the Hall of Fame. But she's not the biggest star, and she has no aura for being out of the HoF. As it is, WWE is already just not talking about her, and nobody gives a shit about what Chyna says except for people looking to exploit her and what she has to say. However, putting her in the Hall of Fame gives her a brief resurgence of popularity and notoriety, and once she's ready to turn around and start shit-talking Triple H again she'll now be WWE Hall of Famer Chyna. Probably with some new made-up stories about something that happened while she was in meetings/at the Hall of Fame/at Wrestlemania the next night. It gives her free promotion and relevance, all for the hopes that maybe she'll stop making wild accusations about the people in charge? She shouldn't "earn" her way into the Hall of Fame just so WWE can disown her trainwreck, considering they already have.

Trips gave the nice corporate answer and the 100% truth in his response to Austin's question. The reason they won't put Chyna in the Hall of Fame is that they don't trust her. They don't trust her to not overdose just before the ceremony, just after the ceremony, show up to her speech completely wasted, not turn her speech into a hate filled rant at Trips and Steph, and they don't trust her not to start shit with Steph or Trips that week. Hunter gave the nice answer. Sunny when she went in had cleaned herself up, and they could trust her. Sunny also never did a porno that spoofed Vince, Trips, and Steph. Sunny also never made domestic violence allegations against Trips.

Wasn't she just badmouthing the WWE and Triple H like 2 weeks ago?
...right before X-pac called her out publicly on all of her bullshit...

I get your point, genuinely, but I don't see why they should have to do any of that just to appease her. If I were Vince and especially Triple H I'd remain silent and let her dig her own grave, so to speak. Everyone can see the way she is and how outlandish her claims are becoming. I doubt there's anyone who really takes her seriously, so I'd just let her keep talking. She's actually damaging herself more than them.

Why wouldn't Vince jump at the opportunity to bury the hatchet with Chyna and put all this behind them? Oh right.

They should film her from the moment she walks in to the moment she walks out and record every communication they have with her if they even want to go along with this. Chyna: Vince, why are you wearing that giant novelty cowboy hat? Is that a camera? Vince: N....no. HHH: (Wearing a different, yet equally silly novely hat with camera inside) Don't be so silly.

Then Steph walks in with one of those beer can hats with the cans blatantly replaced with cameras. "Hey what's going on in here?"

Chyna, sort yourself out you daft cow. I really... don't know how to respond. I wan to come down hard on her, but histrionic personality disorder is a thing, and I think it is pretty clear she had emotional/psychological issues. So "Suck it up, buttercup." And other things along that line aren't precisely useful. But... I am just kind of taking your comment at first glance. She does need to seek out help, though odds are she is going to hear things she doesn't want to, and that's why she isn't seeking help.

There's no incentive for WWE to appease her. She doesn't have any power; at best, she can continue to come across as a bitter loon if WWE continues to ignore her.
That doesn't harm em in any way.

This is Billy Graham all over again. They'd be wise just to stay away from here completely.

She's been scrubbed from their history juuuust enough that her problems don't really reverberate back to them much anymore. But now imagine any potential future TMZ or tabloid headline now reading "WWE Hall of Famer Chyna" instead...

What Madison said.
She'd need to get her life in order long term first.
