So how far you think the Can Am Connection could have gone? Could they have won the WWF tag team titles like Strike Force, or was Tito Santana that much better than Tom Zenk.
If you take Rick Martel at his word, he carried Chico, probably felt the same way about Zenk. It probably wouldn't have mattered with the Model carry the team. LOL
But seriously, what would have happened if Zenk was never let go?

I've never doubted that Zenk and Martel were getting the belts from the Harts in late summer or early fall, after they feuded with the Islanders. The Bulldogs weren't the same anymore, and they were clearly the No. 1 white-meat babyfaces, with the Bees a solid second.
The question for me has always been whether the Can-Ams would have kept the belts past WM4 or passed them to Demolition exactly as Strike Force did. Probably would have depended on how over they remained in 1988. As great a worker as Tito was, I felt he brought a dorkiness to Strike Force that hurt their shelf life.

Basically they would have had the same run as Strike Force did they would have won the belts From the Harts but I think Demolition was still gonna win them and be the dominant team

To think, we could have gotten years of Martel and Zenk attacking each other in battle royals.

Depends if they had a plane, they could get from the top of Canada to Hawaii.

I always thought they should have gotten a Mexican and used the Freebird rule.

I always thought they should have gotten a Mexican and used the Freebird rule. Isn't that where they defend the title in 3 on 2 handicap matches?

They were going to win the belts from the Harts but it probably would have been on an SNME as opposed to the Superstars taping that Strike Force got.

Martel would have been miserable had he been forced to stay with Zenk. In shoots, he's the ONLY person he bashes. He loved working with Santana.

I always thought they should have gotten a Mexican and used the Freebird rule. Only if they named themselves the NAFTA Network. Or the Pan-Am Partners.

Tito was the better fit but watching early '90s WCW recently, Zenk was more entertaining than I remember.

Martel, Zenk and Santana should have been a stable and been called "The NAFTA Connection".

With Zenk, they were never going to go far.
Martel was better off with Tito

Martel, Zenk and Santana should have been a stable and been called "The NAFTA Connection". Heenan: Zenk couldn't have picked worse partners. Monsoon: How's that Brian? Heenan: Well one can't speak english and the other is dodging immigration! Monsoon: *groans*

Were Strike Force really over? Ive only watched a handful of matches and I cant remember. I am quite suprised they got the belts at all to be honest, that was a pretty hot period for tag teams wasnt it, or was it transitioning into the hot period?
