Kris Bryant had a monster game in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Marlins, homering twice and driving in six runs.
And people thought I was crazy for taken him so early in the draft

Jays win...but it doesn't change anything in our predicament as the Rays win and Os will be obviously winning as well.

Justin Verlander faltered late in Sunday's loss to the Blue Jays, ultimately allowing seven runs in five innings of work.
Letting Max go was a big mistake

While it wasn't the complete sweep that Royals fans had pushed so hard for, four Royals were voted in as starters for the American League squad in the 2015 All-Star game.
Alcides Escobar and Salvador Perez were each the leading vote getters at their respective positions, while Lorenzo Cain and Alex Gordon finished second and third respectively in the outfield. They'll join Miguel Cabrera, Jose Altuve, Josh Donaldson, Nelson Cruz and Mike Trout as the fan's picks to start the mid-summer classic, though Cabrera is on the disabled list and will not be able to play in the game.
Bryce Harper was the leading vote getter in the entire National League for the All-Star game, garnering 13,864,950 ballots.
He'll be joined by Paul Goldschmidt, Dee Gordon, Todd Frazier, Jhonny Peralta, Buster Posey, Giancarlo Stanton and Matt Holliday in the starting lineup for the senior circuit. Stanton is on the disabled list and will not be able to appear in the game, and Holliday's status is up in the air.

You didn't want to talk about the fact that Josh Donaldson got the most votes ever for an all-star. Lessens that whole Royals get 4 spots talk.

None of the Royals sans Lorenzo Cain should really be starting, though.

At least Omar ".239 OBP" Infante got knocked out. The AL team is now only somewhat of a farce rather than a complete one.
Also no one mentioned Josh Donaldson because he actually deserved his place on the team. Getting the most votes ever is nice, I guess, but people talk more about undeserving people than the deserving ones. Like it would be far more of a story if Donaldson was just some schmo instead of a fantastic player.
Really hope that Yost and his AL Team coaches pick Brett Gardner as a reserve. He's having a great year. I also imagine that Delin Betances and/or Andrew Miller will get on, too.

Brock Holt making the American League All-Star team is one of the most absurd, preposterous, ridiculous, and awesome things ever.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Athletics gave the Angels a flat "no" when they inquired on Josh Reddick.
