How many %#^^ times is this topic going to re-appear, as if it hasn't been discussed to death a million times already? Same as every single other topic? Every 3-6 weeks.

I swear, we have more monthly Michael Bay threads than online dating threads for some strange reason. Actually why is Michael Bay such a common reoccurring thread in off topic in the first place?

Maybe we should have a dating site for people ho don't like Michael Bay I'm more interested in a dating site dedicated to Michael Bay fans. I imagine the dates would be super fun with fireworks, gun ranges, and of course home made explosions blowing shit up in the middle of nowhere. I would probably pretend to be the biggest fanboy just for that

I applaud all of you who have had success. I'm too hideous so I'll just hide out in the woods.

Tried for years with no luck. The messages I send are ignored. The ones I receive are generic one word messages like "hi" which are more often than naught, from girls that aren't my type.
Oddly enough, one of the first messages I ever received was from my ex. She wasn't aware of it however, as she didn't recognize me. And the moment I revealed who I was, the messages stopped. Haha. It's all good. Wasn't interested in rekindling something that was barely there to begin with.

I haven't really dated online, but did make a relationship with someone I met on a message board. Lasted a good long while, almost six years.
I'd suggest having a dating board here on FAN, but I think the mods would look for the nearest tree to hang me from.

I know at least 3 are still going strong, 10 years later. At least one was coast to coast, one was Detroit to Portland. And one was like 3 blocks away from each other. But there was no dating board, it just happened.

Taking a shot at Tinder, expecting nothing. First time I'm really trying an online dating app. See what happens.

Well, here's what's depressing.
Let's take Tinder for example, which I have be trying. You like a profile. You then have to be liked back for the chat to go active. All good.
The problem is... you ever go out with someone, it goes good, you give them a number and wait for them to call... and they never do. And you are left to wonder what you said or did wrong.
Same with the chat feature. Got lucky, chatted up some girls and it seemed to be going well. Then it just stopped. No explanation, just no more responses.
And you are left to wonder. And try not to wonder what is wrong with you.

I don't get bothered if a girl stops talking to me or doesn't reply to my messages. On Tinder, for example, girls get so many likes and messages that it is easy for your conversation to get buried. Tinder is important to get the number quick.

Just remember, you're awesome. If they ignore you then they suck. Or you might have trouble showing you're awesome. In which case it may be time to work on the old self confidence again. Happy hunting!

I met the guy I'm currently seeing through OKCupid. He randomly messaged me about having an extra ticket for Raw and asked if I'd be interested. It was definitely a different approach so I said yes and we've been dating since. It was iffy at first when he marked out harder for Cena than the little boy in the row ahead of us, but we worked past that. I had to delete Tinder. There are only so many frighteningly creepy messages you can receive before it has to go. One thing I've never understood about men on dating sites, is the need to send dick pics pretty much immediatly. Yes I've said hello to you but no thanks, I don't want to look at your dick. Especially the guys that just send a dick pic as a first message without any accompanying words or explanation. It's so weird. Why do we want to see your dick before we see your face? They really should force them to put a trench coat icon on their profiles. The rare flaccid pics are the worst.

If I'm ever single again, I can only hope to be asked out via RAW ticket. Or Monster Jam ticket, for that matter.

I've been on dating sites for over 10 years.
I've had numerous hookups in my younger days, numerous short term relationships, and a couple of long term relationships.
As I've gotten older, I've gotten more picky, and with me getting older, my options are dwindling. Plus, location is key. Where I live now, it seems like most women around here have already been married and/or already have numerous kids. If kids aren't your thing or you want to have kids of your own, that makes things more difficult. Most of my success came from when I lived in a college town where a lot of women in their 20s and still in college or just out of college.
Also, from my experiences with talking to women on those sites, as a few others here stated, women tend to get bombarded with penis pics. Me and this one girl liked to mess with those guys.
"Wow. Your penis looks like a hot dog that was in the microwave for too long!"

I don't have a problem if they girl has a kid or two but I want to have my own. There is a girl I went to high school with, I remember her a little bit and she was actually one I wouldn't mind dating (we actually followed the same career path) but she doesn't want to have anymore kids. My killer is always the girls who will talk with you and then just stop for no reason. Am I an asshole for just wanting a reason as to why you stopped talking to me?
