Looks pretty joyless and "intense." I was really hoping for a prequel with a brash, trash talking Creed that ends with him hearing about some young kid named "Rocky" coming up the ranks. ...the entire point of the first Rocky movie was that Creed literally picked Rocky's name at random... Yeah, Rocky wasn't really a hotshot going up the ranks... he was meant to be a hometown soupcan that Creed could easily beat due to his scheduled opponent injuring his hand and no one else was available. In fact, from what I remember Rocky was specifically chosen because Apollo liked "The Italian Stallion" nickname

Hope it doesn't end in another streetfight. Paulie's too old to get knocked down again.

Well, that would just be the last 5 mins of the film. Like how in Batman Begins when they introduced the joker. It could even end with him just going, "You see this guy? The 'Italian Stallion' - I like the sound of that." or whatever he says in the movie. The main idea is it'd be more about Creed becoming a very brash, showman of a boxer.

This movie looks good. Really good. I was looking forward to it anyway but that trailer really shocked me.

I still wonder about Rocky and Creed's fight behind closed doors. Which one of them "won, oh won"?

is Apollo having a son a retcon in and of itself? I don't recall that ever being a thing I'm 90% sure he did have a little boy in Rocky IV. You can see him running around for a shot or two when Apollo was at his home. I'm all for this movie, as long as they don't kill Rocky. I just like the thought of Rocky one day, dying in his bed warm and comfortable surrounded by friends and loved ones. I don't want him punched to death or something dumb like that. He doesn't need a big death scene ever. EDIT: BTW, yeah, Duke has GOT to be in this movie!!! I loved in Rocky Balboa when he says "Let's start buildin' some HURTIN' BOMBS!!!" Such a badass line, I loved it!

The synopsis talking about Rocky facing a tougher battle than he's ever faced or what have you makes me think he's probably got cancer in this one.

I hope there's a line that Adonis wants to be called Adonis "Assassins" Creed.

In some of the scenes he looked pale and kind of frail. All I know is if they have Rocky die, I might be reduced to a sobbing baby.
