I'm still not convinced that wasn't an extension of the recent 'I'm too good to be here" heel turn but I haven't watched it since the original airing. No he was legitimately pissed and didn't want to be there. He even apologised to Benoit after their match because it was so disappointing. I remember reading somewhere Benoit/Guerrero had mini brawl because Eddie was pissed he had to tap out clean to Benoit

Randy Savage in TNA. That is all. I never saw his TNA run but, for me it was when in '99 he came back wearing all black, jacked as hell to the point were he could barely do his flying elbow drop. Not to mention the slicked back hair and ponytail and his 22 year old girlfriend. Randy was even against this...he knew he couldn't go anymore when he was in TNA, so he protested against having much time out there during the match.

Bret Hart vs Will Sasso on Nitro in 1999. Or possibly Bret Vs Piper on Nitro around that same time for both guys. Or Piper refereeing a women's mud match on Nitro in 1999.
"Midlife Crisis" Macho Man getting poop poured on his head in the ring on Nitro in 1999.
Hacksaw Duggan cleaning Vince Russo's toilet on Nitro in 1999.
Basically anyone that appeared on Nitro in 1999.
Mike Awesome jobbing to Funaki on Velocity.

Randy Savage's last ever match was in TNA. Just let that sink in.

I prefer to think he wrestled ninja turtles in his own underground promotion somewhere. The footage will one day emerge.

Bret Hart vs. Vince in that incredibly uncomfortable 'match' at Wrestlemania 26. Just horrible. What a way to go out..... That wasn't either's last match, and I'm sure we can think of moments that were way worse for Bret, unless getting in that limo wreck really was the worst night of Bret's life. Regardless of whether he had a match subsequent to this, I'm pretty sure this is how the majority of people will remember him 'going out'.....

Some people will, the IWC will, but nowhere near a majority. The majority of people have no idea that he was ever even in TNA. Most people think he retired after WCW.

I'm going to have to say this is. I mean when you have to wrestle in front of 20 people is one thing but when there isn't even a ring takes it do a whole different level of low. A for drop for being a former WWE Tag champon Nikilai Volkoff. Honestly those people should have just played basketball instead. It would have been much more entertaining.

Rick Steiner arguing with Chucky, and losing. Thank god he had his championship run with Judy Bagwell to help his career recover from that. Or was that before the Chucky thing? Man, 1998 was a rough year for the DFG.

The closest would be Jeff Hardy, and the Sting match. "I agree."

A for drop for being a former WWE Tag champon Nikilai Volkoff. Meh, it more just showed what a carney the promoter was. Volkoff didn't do it for the money since as far as I know he gets by well enough and just wrestles for the fun of it these days. Volkoff was just being a professional and agreed to wrestle despite a ring not being available. The promoter should've known better and canceled/rescheduled the show.

there have been different rumors like he wanted more time, didn't want to go balls to the wall like Heyman wanted him to, didn't want to lose since he was in the middle of a push, ect. From what I've heard, he was pissed that he'd invested so much in his heel turn and then was basically asked to ignore all that for one nostalgia show. Basically "I need to be back to my regular work as a heel the next night, so why should I sabotage that by looking and acting like I did in ECW for a single night?"

Basically "I need to be back to my regular work as a heel the next night, so why should I sabotage that by looking and acting like I did in ECW for a single night?" The odd thing about that, though, is that Styles was selling the heel Guerrero on commentary. Putting Benoit over was not going to hurt Eddie in the least; if anything, it would have made him come back meaner and sneakier as he did later that year against Benoit and everyone else. At the same time, Benoit was getting depushed into the midcard and into the US title picture, and kind of needed the win to keep his stock from slipping into JTTS territory. Whatever the source of the urine Eddie discovered in his breakfast cereal that morning, the match ended up coming off as sub-par in comparison to the rest of the card - a strange thing given the participants.
