Just saw he was tweeting at Sasha Banks and it got me thinking...wouldn't this be awesome? Give him a short run in NXT like Cesaro. Give us a chance to see the Goldust entrance (and character) one last time (cuz that entrance with Stardust sucked). You could even call it a tribute to Dusty if you want (taking his place down there), but that's not what this is about for me. I just love old school Goldust.

No. I don't want to see ~45 year old jobbers on NXT when beating them adds no credibility to the wrestlers. NXT house shows? Go for it.

I see him taking over part of the work his dad did so I think he'll be there for a short spell sooner rather than later. I could honestly see him getting a shot at Finn at one of the Takeover specials to buy time for both Sami (for a really short run) and Hideo (who takes the title from Finn) to get back.

Fair point, I guess I was thinking more like one (or a few) of the younger talents could benefit from some onscreen character interaction with him (as opposed to someone getting the rub from beating him). He's just such a relic and is so unique. Could be great experience for someone.

I'd see more of a loss with him taking away potential time from someone else not getting on tv/network because GDust is. I'm fine with some WWE guys going down, but it mostly works with younger heels.

Goldust in a Rhino sort of role would not be the worst thing really. I imagine he could teach some of the guys down there alot working with them.

Goldust could wrestle BETTER than people half his age
I wouldn't mind this and maybe I'd buy the network just to watch Goldie SLAAAAY

I would either have him as the face version of Rhyno facing upcomer heels or team him with the new weird face as an oddball tag team gunning for the tag belts.

I would love to see a mini Goldust run in nXt where he can let his character loose again and put over some young talent.

Goldust wrestling would be awesome. Don't really care much if he puts anyone over, if he's only wrestling every once in awhile.

He's not off of TV because of them not having something for him, I think he was done with on-screen wrestling by his own accord. He'd probably be an excellent trainer, though. Not sure what his current role is.

I'm fine with some WWE guys going down, but it mostly works with younger heels. On the other hand, though- people seem to forget Goldust's ECW 2009, where Goldust got a similar demotion to work with the younger talents on the AAA-level show in between developmental and main roster...and Goldust was amazing on the show, revitalized his own career, and was making everyone on the show look fantastic with a series of great matches. Goldust would absolutely be able to do the same thing on NXT and be a huge asset to the show. The only weakness Goldust would have is that "if they use Goldust, he'd invariably end up in some odd couple team"- and even THEN, Goldust would be beneficial to NXT (since all the goofy gimmicks tend to be on the "homegrowns", not the indy darlings- Goldust in odd couple teams would inevitably help out the performers who'd need it more.)

It would be interesting to have him go down to NXT as just Dustin Rhodes and his whole thing is that he wants to see just how good the people that his dad treated as his other children are. Not even in an antagonistic way, more in a mutual respect sort of thing.

He was great on ECW back in the day mixing it up with Sheamus and putting on some of his best work at that point so I wouldn't mind it. I also wouldn't mind seeing him win the IC belt.

Due to a mix up, Finn Balor was sent Golddust's paint, and Golddust was sent Balor's.

I think he'd make a good player-coach like Rhyno. He probably has more to offer then Rhyno.

I think on NXT, he'll just take up space. On NXT, Goldust, much like Rhyno, likely isn't going to work with anyone outside of the top guys or the guys who are going to be pushed as a threat whether he's there or not (like Corbin) so it really isn't going to help anyone. WWE will only use Goldust for the likes of Joe, Balor, Sami, etc. to have a "name" go over. He'll just be losing matches that other people could be losing instead.
