Finally watched this one. A friend had it so I checked it out.
The good: Action was solid. Fun sequences and good use of cgi.
Story was actually better than I thought it would be. I like that in the supes world theres either Marvel style or DC style and w Deadpool Fox was like, nah we're just gonna do our thing.
Negasonic Teen was my favorite character.
The bad: Nearly every character was annoying and generic stock types (which, to the movies credit they did acknowledge in the credits, but it still didn't help w the overall movie). I ended up wanting to see more of Ajax and NegaTeen more than anyone and when your lead villain is more intriguing than your protag.....
Absolutely unfunny. I didn't even so much as chuckle once during this one and it made it twice as annoying that they were trying WAY TOO HARD to get laughs w corny jokes. It was BBT levels bad for me.
The dialog flat out sucked.
.....
So bit of a mixed bag for me, but I agree it was a better than average superhero film overall.

Here's the commercial for Deadpool on Blu-Ray: Here's what Kevin Feige says about Deadpool's success (Hint: It's not because of the R rating, but because it stayed true to the comics): Marvel’s Kevin Feige Explains Why Deadpool Was Such a SuccessSpeaking of Feige, he got a shout-out when Wade got a pizza from Feige's Famous Pizza.

I thought it was pretty fun for a live action comic movie (which I am pretty tired of) with a character I understand the gist of yet don't really care about.
Above all else, I found I really enjoyed Colossus. Perhaps it's just because he's not been a factor in anything else, but he just really felt right to me.
That, and I like TJ Miller. So that was fun for me.

It wasn't as clever as it thought it was, nor as funny either. I liked the Ferris Bueller reference at the end, though.

So with Hugh Jackman quitting X-men, is Deadpool going to slip into that franchise?

So with Hugh Jackman quitting X-men, is Deadpool going to slip into that franchise? In terms of being the focal point of the franchise it would make sense to strike while the iron is hot, but given the fact that the X-Men films are much more serious in tone it's hard to figure out how they'd manage putting him in there. That and the fact that the next X-Men film has already been confirmed to take place in the '90s, while Deadpool is set in present day. I still expect Jennifer Lawrence to hang around to pick up the freed-up Jackman paychecks regardless of what may or may not happen in Apocalypse.

Not counting releases with store-exclusive gifts/features, the only main releases are DVD, Blu-Ray/DVD, and Blu-Ray 4K/Blu-Ray.

Finally saw Deadpool on Friday night, I had an absolute blast watching that movie. It's been a while since I watched a movie by myself and actually laughed out loud. Ryan Reynolds was born to play Deadpool, I'm glad they didn't have his f***ing mouth sewed shut this time lol.
