Please allow me to make a little connection here.
John Morrison can destroy WWE Champion Seth Rollins. Morrison lost to Lucha Underground Champion Prince Puma. Therefore, Puma can theoretically destroy Rollins.
Conclusion: Lucha Underground > WWE.
What? Wasn't that what everyone took from this?

This feud is somehow going to end with a threesome with Melina. Seth, Melina and Batista. Or this can be the Guardians of the Galaxy. Big Dave as Drax Seth as Starlord Melina as Gamora John as Rocket Raccoon Also featuring Mercury as Groot since he doesn't really talk.

Seth accomplished more in 1 year than Morrison did in 7, that I think says it all. If this were real sports...maybe. The Miz has more WWE championship reigns than Owen Hart, Mr. Perfect, and Rick Rude combined. Does that "say it all"? As far as I can see, Morrison and Rollins are pretty similar. Great looks, great in the ring, they carry themselves as stars. Mic skills are the weak point for each but neither are as bad as some make them out to be when they have decent material to work with. The difference is one had the office behind them from the word go and their flaws were overlooked. The other never got a real chance as a main eventer no matter how over he got. It's not that Morrison didn't get a chance to main event, he wasn't good enough. Morrison could never pull off the sell out authority heel that Seth does and Seth is better on the mic by far. Also Seth has a good move set while Morrisons wasn't that great. Actually, factoring in evrything, Seth is much better.

I love when people get angry at other wrestlers doing self promotion by trash talking a bit. Like Morrison thinks it matters or takes it that seriously

I would actually put more effort into my retort but seeing as you think Morrisons move set isn't that great, I doubt I could change your mind about anything and would only get frustrated trying

Joey Mercury knows all of Morrisons weaknesses so he wouldn't stand a chance against Seth Rollins.

Maybe it's just me but I legit cracked up at the thread title. Now, I'm imagining all these midcarders from the late 00's/early 10's saying that they would beat up the current roster. Shelton Benjamin: Roman Reigns, you better pack a lunch!!! Danny Basham:"Prime Time Players, Doug and I are coming for those Tag Team titles!" Rob Conway: "Just look at me."

Maybe Morrison is upset that Joey Mercury is getting more fame and notoriety as Rollins' sidekick than MNM ever got.

Like Morrison thinks it matters or takes it that seriously People seem to get really offended when people in the industry slight WWE sometimes. It's weird. JoMo is doing really great work in Lucha Underground though, so I have no problem with this statement.

All wrestlers in other promotions should be saying shit like this. If they ever said "I think Seth would kill me and I'm clearly inferior" I'd be baffled.

Like Morrison thinks it matters or takes it that seriously It's even better when it happens to TNA"TNA is the worst. I only watch due to how bad they are and hope they're taken off life-support soon. Wait, Lance Storm said something bad about them? f*** that guy". And yes, that happened.

Morrison achieved all he was ever going to achieve in WWE. A good midcarder, but nothing more. He was at his best as part of MNM and with The Miz but as a singles star he was lacking in what was needed to become a main eventer. Rollins is streets ahead.

Morrison was always a favorite of mine, so I think it'd be a cool match to see. Almost zero chance of it happening, didn't Morrison torch his bridge(?), but it'd be f***ing cool.

He was absolutely lacking what he needed to become a main eventer. A well-defined character that has direction. Unfortunately that was largely out of his hands and in the hands of the booking team. Rollins came up with the Shield who ran over most of the established stars on the roster. Ambrose did the heavy lifting on the mic while Rollins was given enough mic time to improve but mask some of his flaws. He was then the one that turned heel and had whole storylines and shows built around his new character that the booking team protects at all costs. Morrison had a decent Jim Morrison knockoff character that he was sort of perfect for. Teaming with The Miz and developing a bit beyond that while still keeping some of the pseudo-mysticism and haziness of the character like reference to the Palace of Wisdom was working. The fans enjoyed it and he was dynamite in the ring. His promos on the webshow and on commentary he was enjoyable with this gimmick. Then Miz turned on him. He stayed heel a week an then magically was a face with no real turn. He then became a dude that does parkour and tells WWE PG overly scripted jokes about heels with no development whatsoever for over a year. It's hard for me to fairly compare them based on how different the hands they were dealt

The character was kinda silly and said goofy shit. That's pretty much what WWE makes their faces try to be already.

Beyond Rollins' better mic skills, I think it's a wash. Him and Morrison are both really talented but neither guy is a once-in-a-generation wrestler or anything like that.
