Only on YouTube where no one in the higher ups gave a shit so we had the love square of Bettman, Kaitlyn, Maxine and Johnny Curtis. Plus that time Darren Young had a crush on Tamina and was going to give her a plant.

yeah NXT Redemption was awesome. Matt Striker got kidnapped. Regal was the GM, there was that guy with the dreadlocks who was tag team partners with Curt Hawkins who were both entertaining (if I remember correctly they both randomly showed up on Raw for about 2 weeks to never be heard from on the main shows again), Maxine in her fishnets.
at the start it had a points system and the winner was going to get a title match, they just abandoned it.
then they killed it off and there was that month or so where it was just matches and no storylines after they'd already done the first Florida NXT taping but were unsure of when they were going to start airing it.

Matt Striker got kidnapped, yet was still doing Superstars commentary.

There's a entire media/creative writing essay to written about the weird alternative universe NXT Redemption seem to exist in for months.

Matt Striker got kidnapped, yet was still doing Superstars commentary. "WHY DO YOU HAVE CHLOROFORM?" "Why do you not?" Creepy Curtis was the best.

I really hope someone has a compilation of this wonderful and weird existence. Pretty much some of the best work from pre-current NXT NXT.

One of the weirdest live event experience I've ever had was going to Smackdown show also featuring an NXT Redemption taping where most of the audience actually seemed to know what was going on in Redemption and really enjoyed it, the guys there were over.

Matt Striker got kidnapped, yet was still doing Superstars commentary. That wasn't Matt Striker, it was his evil clone.

Where the goal of Redemption was to actually not be on Redemption.
What weird times those were. Almost like a proto JBL and Cole/Renee Show, where there's a weird alternate universe happening backstage.

Sorry guys but I thought NXT Redemption was the worst TV show WWE put out in years. There was just no effort, no end in sight.
NXT 1-3 was quality though. And obviously the "New NXT" is the best show on TV in my opinion.

Basically it gave us the Prime Time Players and EC3, so those near 2 years in limbo did something.

there was that guy with the dreadlocks who was tag team partners with Curt Hawkins who were both entertaining (if I remember correctly they both randomly showed up on Raw for about 2 weeks to never be heard from on the main shows again) That would be Tyler Reks. Probably best remembered for making that flash cartoon that got canceled after four episodes.

Thank god for that too, or else the president of the internet (I hear his name is Joe) was going to cancel the entire internet for everyone's protection.

I thought he was better remembered for trending worldwide when Matt Hardy showed up in TNA with dreadlocks.

The love square was the best thing on WWE at the time. If Redemption ever goes up on the Network, it'll be appointment viewing.
