If you're of that Wade Barrett generation that hasn't really done shit with your career you have to be. This NXT crew is already more trusted than you've ever been and have more positive exposure through the Network than you've had you're entire career. Plus they are the chosen ones of Triple H while you come from the era of Ace and he isn't exactly loved for his talent relation days. I think you exaggerate the NXT Network exposure, if you're saying it's reached more wrestling fans than Nexus in 2010. Sure those days are long gone, and NXT darlings (especially the ones on Raw) are well more over than Barrett is now.

NXT may not be seen by the same amount of people as the Nexus run but I think the positive buzz from WWE and more importantly fans for 18 months now, means more than 3 to 6 months for Nexus overall and especially after 5 years. Owens and Neville debuted based on what they did on NXT and they were over thanks to it, Zayn seemed headed in the same direction though he did have more help. Plus were getting an entire Divas angle built on bringing up Sasha and Charlotte because of the buzz they built in NXT if rumors are to be believed. Maybe like the Nexus it dies out after a few months (I do currently have that fear for Neville) but they've done so well in how they are letting the NXT talent grow compared to the FCW days that I don't think it will.

Tyler Breeze will be labeled as Fandango 3.0 the second a video package of him airs by a lot of people for example. I'm hoping he comes in and forms a team with Miz, The Pretty Awesome Ones.

Most of the guys that are shit on the main roster would probably kill it in the NXT.

Exactly. NXT call ups aren't a threat to everyone, but they're dangerous for guys like Barrett, Slater, and Truth. Their spots could certainly be in question. Truth is supposedly tight with Vince so I expect he's bulletproof, when he can't go Vince will find a role in production for him just to keep him around.

Most of the guys that are shit on the main roster would probably kill it in the NXT. It's a mixed strike rate. For every Tyson Kidd who basically saved his job thanks to an NXT run, you have a Brodus Clay or a Titus O'Neil, both of whom floundered in their brief NXT runs. Right now, though, some time back in NXT is really helping out Zack Ryder and Emma... Ryder is actually making MOJO RAWLEY bearable to a lot of people in their Hype Bros tag team, while Emma's slowly getting her momentum back with this heel run.

Yeah, if the NXT stars overshadow them the current full-time, main-roster stars might no longer get important WrestleMania matches or video game covers...

I think it has helped.
It appears that Cena is motivated in having new guys to work with (Owens, Neville, Cesaro) and has been busting his ass and upping his game. I can see some of the upper card guys getting motivated by having new guys to work with.
To me Orton upped his game when he was feuding with Rollins and I thought they did some really solid work together. Fresh feuds can definitely motivate people.
On the other hand it can definitely expose some of the lower card guys who can't up their game. Cesaro got shafted but was able to recover his career by putting on some great performances. Not everyone will be able to do that.
I also don't believe the whole "NXT guys won't be used properly on the main roster" theory due to most of the top half of the card being filled with former NXT guys. Sadly, and wrestling has always been this way, some really talented guys won't be used correctly for whatever reason while others will. Some will catch on while others won't.
While the booking can definitely be improved I don't think WWE purposely buries people.

I never said Orton wasn't over. But many times he has had to manually pump up the crowd. Also, a good handful of NXT alumni get loud pops: Abrose, Reigns, Wyatt to name a few. Ummmm.... Have you ever watched Hulk Hogan celebrate after a match? I don't think manually getting the crowd hype is looked down upon, I think it is part of the damn job. Not to mention Sami Zayne, face of NXT, INJURED HIMSELF MANUALLY PUMPING UP THE CROWD! Basically, this thread is a head scratcher.

If by "NXT", you mean the remaining members of the NXT 5 (Zayn, Balor, Itami), Samoa Joe, and maybe Enzo and Big Cass? Maybe.
If by "established roster", you mean guys like Barrett and Swagger who are quickly becoming obsolete? I wouldn't doubt it.
I don't think guys like Orton and Sheamus are afraid of missing any meals off of the new class coming in. Hell, as it currently stands, most of the upper card should be more concerned about the old timers coming in to WrestleMania for an easy paycheck than the kind of new guys that make their job more exciting.
And let's be honest, no one is dreading a guy like Tyler Breeze getting called up. Hideo Itami had to carry Prince Duckface so long he got put out with a shoulder injury. The only purpose he has on the main roster is an extra body for battle royales. Baron Corbin? I don't even see him coming out of developmental.

This above post is also very melodramatic. Tyler Breeze doesn't need to be carried by anyone. Him and Itami had great chemistry. I watched him and Itami literally tear the house down at an NXT house show, there was not a single person in their seat. I saw Sasha Banks call Tyler Breeze the best wrestler in NXT when asked. I am not saying he is going to main event WM, but Breeze is a damn good hand and would make a great mid card heel on the main roster. Dude is legit.

Slater's job is probably safe... since goofball jobbers usually have damn long careers.
