Oh man I am such a big Liger mark. When I had a custom mask made for backyard wrestling (i.e. for YAK MAN) I did a green Hayabusa mask with Liger horns.
So beyond excited.

I'm not going to sit here and fantasy book an interpromotional angle, but I do hope this is the start of a relationship when it comes to talent development. I think it would benefit both companies for NJPW to send their rookies to NXT for a while and WWE to send some of their non-well traveled talent in NXT to Japan. Haha, NJPW would eat guys like Mojo Rawley alive. ....On second thought...yeah, okay, do it.

Now who's left to never work for WWE? Sting, Liger....... HHH keep on hitting them out of the park. Liger's perhaps the biggest name and legend to never step foot in a WWE ring Muta is the only bonafide legend left, and the only one I would put ahead of Liger. It would be reeeeeal close though.

This could also be Liger accepting an induction to the WWE Hall of Fame I always assumed because next year is in Texas and with the states Latino population a Lucha Libre legend would get the international induction slot but if it goes to Liger instead I will seriously mark out hard. His matches with Pillman were largely why I was such a huge fan as a kid.

Very interesting considering Liger just appeared for ROH as part a New Japan partnership and considering New Japan will also be sending Okada, Kushida, and Nakamura to the ROH show the same night. A bit provocative.
Still very cool.

Well, I was going to comment on how odd it was to see NJPW contracted talent appearing for different companies on the same night in the same place, but I guess this may wind up being the much bigger deal. I can't begin to guess what this could be.
