Yeah, unless Cena is still having breathing issues he will be at this show. Also if it's title for title my guess for how it ends is in a no contest/DQ/count out non-finish. Considering that the NYC crowd would crap all over Cena winning and becoming the 16 time world champion (well, he basically declared himself the World Champion on the Raw after Battleground with a promo similar to the one he cut in Montreal on Punk in 2012), my guess is that THE DEMON KANE will run interference and they will wait untill TLC in Boston to crown Cena, so the Old Yeller run of Rollins will continue until then. I don't see the historic tying of the what we think is the Nature Boy's record (he has had a ton that not even Flair counts after all) happening while Cena still has the US Belt. But hey I could be wrong... I also don't see Seth winning the US Belt. I was thinking whoever interferes against Cena would lead him into that feud... and something like a count out victory could be a way for Seth to start crowing how he beat John Cena.

I am hoping this will lead to a big 5 vs 5 match at Survivor Series, Reigns, Ambrose, Cesaro, Orton and Cena Vs Wyatt, Harper, Sheamus, Owens and Rollins.

So we're looking at a four hour SummerSlam card that so far has: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} John Cena vs Seth Rollins for the WHC & US titles Brock Lesnar vs Undertaker Cesaro vs Kevin Owens Ryback vs Big Show vs Miz for the IC title Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper Stephen Amell/Arrow vs Stardust
Gonna be a loooooong show if these are the biggest matches in the tank so far.

I'm not sure I can sit through this show...
I'd legitimately rather watch some 95 WCW.

I have been toying with cancelling my network sub.
I have just not been using it. Used it twice over the last month (Battleground and Stone Cold Podcast).
John Cena being once again WWE's top guy will be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

I think a 4 hour long Summerslam is just too much to sit through a 2hr & 3o minute Summerslam for me would suffice

John Cena being once again WWE's top guy will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Using it for Battleground alone made it value for money though, didn't it? I don't think you need to watch 2 hours a day to get value like some people suggest.

I am hoping this will lead to a big 5 vs 5 match at Survivor Series, Reigns, Ambrose, Cesaro, Orton and Cena Vs Wyatt, Harper, Sheamus, Owens and Rollins. The scariest part about this is that we probably will be watching monthly rematches of Cena/Rollins, Shield/Wyatts, Orton/Sheamus, and Cesaro/Owens from now through November anyway.

Dat theme though ("we want it all" I guess?
Worst PPV theme I've ever heard. Is that 90 year old Ozzy Osbourne?

So the second theme for Summerslam is a Demi Lovato song...
Weird choice

NXT Takeover Brooklyn has already made me not care about anything on summerslam outside of how much is left of Owens after his ladder match the night before.

NXT Takeover Brooklyn has already made me not care about anything on summerslam outside of how much is left of Owens after his ladder match the night before. It looks like it will be Owens vs Cesaro, and while Cesaro will probably be fresh having not wrestled since Thursday in Kayfabe, Owens will have endured a brutal ladder match that looks like it could go 30 minutes and be a Kevin Steen match. There is a large chance that it will be the most brutal NXT match in history. And remember, Cesaro is a face and Owens a heel. While the NXT Owens is a guy that while similar to "KILL STEEN KILL", likes to pick his spots but loves fighting just as much, the main roster Owens has a walking out on matches gimmick. There is the problem with two sets of bookers for the NXT and WWE main roster. It won't make Cesaro look that good beating a guy that went through a war the night before and Cesaro has a much shorter and far less brutal match on Smackdown, and Cesaro will look weak if Owens beats him without outside interferance.

I don't care who wins between Rollins and Cena as long as the U.S. Title is gone afterwards. For the past few years the main event scene and upper midcard scene have felt so interchangeable. Most of the upper midcard scene are guys who have held the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship in the past or have otherwise flirted with the main event. It now feels as if we have three "top" titles and no actual midcard titles. Scrapping the US Title would go a long way towards cleaning up WWE's title structure.

I think that match is going to end in a no contest or a DQ, no prizes for guessing who will be responsible. There is no real midcard, considering that wins and losses don't mean much for most of the roster, lack of storylines, and the 50/50 booking. If they are going to get rid of a midcard belt, I would get shot of the IC title, as that has been booked into oblivion since at least 2013, and having The Ryback hold the belt won't really change that. John Cena should have lost the US title before he got anywhere near the main event again, and now the rub that having an up and comer beat Cena for the title has been lost seemingly.

The IC Title is WWE's baby while the U.S. Title is just the last remaining remnant of the Brand Split. And aside from the injury, the Ryback's reign has been fine. Because he's a big guy (pun intended), there's just no realistic way to job him out to any and everyone the way they have with past champions. They didn't randomly feed him to Kevin Owens to make him look strong for Cena or anything like that. And if Cena did drop the belt, we'd just continue to have the same situation that we do now.

Good points, and it is harder to job The Ryback out. Though Big E was booked pretty poorly when he was holding the belt. The IC reign started off pretty badly with that awful Elimination Chamber match and the match with the Big Show, but hopefully it will pick up. Personally, I would have had someone else build up that belt instead of Big Hungry.

They really will have to talk about Owens having wrestled the night before as little as possible on commentary (something I'm sure they are capable of) or he will come off as more of the underdog face. Save that for Owens' promo the night after if he loses to set up the inevitable rematch.

Well here's something I never thought I would type on this board: Demi Lovato is providing the official theme song for a WWE PPV.
