Thierry Henry handball goal against Ireland. I mean going by some you would think the goal litrally cost us a place in the World Cup even though as it stood before the goal it was going to penalties but still disappointing none the less.
€5 million later and we still don't look like we will qualify for a World Cup again anytime soon.

For me, the worst ever decision in sport was Avery Brundage's speech after the Munich massacre. He compared the killings to overcommercialisation of the Olympic Games and whined because Rhodesia (an openly racist state at the time) had been excluded by the IOC. It was completely sickening, insane and delusional. You can list all 15 Worst Decisions In The History Of Sports if limited to just the tenure of Avery Brundage.

Number 1 is absolutely the worst of all time. They were two yards out. They had more than one shot at it, and the best power running back in football. You do NOT move away from that in that situation.
