Have you compared how many matches Vince declared real romp'em stomp'em affairs and how many were see saw matchups back and forth?

Mostly it's just him rambling about Bill Clinton and maybe some interest in a match here and there.

At one point, the camera is on the Announcer team and Art is asking a question which you can see Monsoon clearly ignore him. But what possessed him simply to ask how much each guy weighs, you'd think if he didn't know what to say, he'd just keep quiet and let Monsoon and Savage cover for him.

Owen vs 1-2-3 Kid is one of my favorite short matches ever. It is very efficient in a way, and that baseball slide at the beginning was shot wonderfully and sold fantastically by Sean.

You could tell, even in Savage's tone a little later that both men had lost their patience having to constantly answer his questions.

Having him sit in for the whole show was really stupid. Maybe if they had either just had him at the beginning for a match or two, or had him backstage watching so he could kind of get up to speed and then have him out there for the final match or two, then it could have worked out alright, but instead he's just out there, being Donny from Big Lebowski to Savage and Monsoon's contempt.

To be fair I thought the Jarret gimmick suited him to a T. It was bland/boring and completely uninteresting. In short it summed up Double J perfectly. Even better for the character was that in real life he genuinely always thought he was a big star, which always made me chuckle.

I think the Mr. Hughes gimmick was meant to make him look like some kind of organized crime member or hitman, so the outfit made sense to me. That, and the guy is seemingly a good wrestling trainer and does well in bodyguard roles, but as a wrestler himself, he's kind of unexceptional, so his look was very important to him.
I guess maybe something like Bastion Booger made sense in an era of Ren and Stimpy and "gross out your sister!" toys, but yeah, not sure how it's supposed to translate to the ring.
