A clear indicator of Hulk Hogan's problems was his real life feud with "Superstar" Billy Graham. Dude doesn't even get along with jive talking white guys!

Remember that weird WCW angle where Warrior had a moment of clarity inside of a mirror with a smog monster? Cocaine is a Hell of a drug

I'm glad this came out. I never liked Hulk Hogan and I'm tired of people jumping down my throat every time I say so. He's a hypocrite. He sure doesn't have a problem with people of other races buying his merch and filling his bank account. This. Hogan was a shitty person BEFORE being outed as a racist. And people would constantly sweep that under the rug by saying "oh but he's Hulk Hogan. It doesn't matter what bad things he did, I'll mark for him forever." So I'm glad this happened too.

Remember when Spark Plugg jumped ship to WCW and was revealed as the 3rd man for the nWo? That was awesome!

I read Hulk is going to write a book about this whole thing. Unfortunately the title "Orange is the New Black" was already taken.

We all knew Hulk was an asshole and we all gave him an unspoken pass for it.
Let's be honest with ourselves. When Hogan said that "God laid some heavy shit on John Graziano" after his son crippled him, that should have told everybody in the world what kind of guy Hogan is. But no, he still had his supporters. Folks just kind of pushed that to the wayside.
Just watch and wait. Watch and wait.
Dudes are gonna be singing his praises again while making gentle jabs at this rant in about a year.

Remember that time Warrior was all like "REACH OUT AND TOUCH FAAAAITH" and then faith was like "Sure, dude."

to be honest. In 5 years if hogan is still alive I see him going back to WWE in some redemption type of angle.
While Terry is/was a bad person in 2012, I think he can still do things to salvage his image. Right now he's toxic, and he has no one to blame but him self.

Another thing about this, is that the Gawker people are shit people too, but now we have to act like they're good because Hogan isn't any damned good, and SOMEONE has to win the court case...

First of all I'm Black. Second of all, this was pillow talk between Hogan and some concubine. It's weirder Hogan is talking about Brooke's sex life while banging another lady but I digress. I live in Florida. Here in the south EVERYONE says the 'n' word. Blacks, whites, Mexicans, Asians, Euros, Africans it doesnt matter. My point being Booker T is wrong lets not eradicate the word. Let's use the hell out of it until everyone thinks like we do in Florida and n**** doesn't have to be this "*gasp* he said a bad word!!!"-moment. Whenever someone says n**** down here nobody bats an eye. Go up north and have a non-black say n**** to a black person. They will literally be killed where they stand. THAT is the problem in today's world. Making a word have such power. A word!! Booker T is still in regret over saying A WORD. How f***ing ridiculous that Hogan's SEX SCANDAL is overshadowed by A WORD he said in the video. It's just too illogical to me. But then again where I'm from, it's not anything special to speak freely with my n****s. How sad the rest of the country still has to walk on eggshells when they speak in public. I'm just glad NXT is filmed in Florida. I can't wait to attend a live show and get the crowd to start a n**** chant and finally start taking back control over THE VERY WORDS I'm "allowed" to use when I talk. For Christ's sakes. "those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it." That's why people treat the n-word like a big deal still. You don't just forget hundreds of years of history. The problem with today's society is people who want to brush that history aside because it's unpleasant.

I have no words. You really don't understand the history of the word if you think anything you just said should actually happen. I think there are two schools of thought: That "word" should be banned no matter what. Given the history of the word it should never be said. The only problem with that argument is you're a giving a lot of power to a word. How far does that go? Should we get rid of the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn? That book is full of the word, but Twain is using this casual dialogue ironically, as a way to underscore the chilling truth about the old South: it was a place where perfectly nice people didn't consider the death of a black person worth their notice. Artists have to walk that line sometimes to point to issues in our society. Then there is the OP's argument which is that by comedians and African-Americans using that word they're attempting to take the power out of that word. Not that people who say it don't know that history, but they're using it to "own" it and taking it back from white people who used it to victimize them. It's a difficult argument because ultimately both sides raise good points. Neither of you are wrong. However, I suggest we not piss off the mods and keep this discussion more funny than serious. In that vein, here's cat Cesaro.
