Today marks 10 years exactly since Muhammad Hassan faced The Undertaker at the Great American Bash. He would lose the match and then retire from wrestling after his character was dropped.
I loved his character as a shunned Arab, before he started going into the sacrifices and things like that. I think he had a pretty high ceiling and wish he, and the character was able to stick around. What are some of your feelings on Hassan?

He had one of the best themes too. Just everything about the guy was pretty damn good
Should have been a world champion, but history showed that if you were a new guy facing The Undertaker or had plans to, you didn't make it. This happened to Hassan, Mordecai (Kevin Thorn) and Hade Vansen didn't make it past Promo 1...

I enjoyed Hassan's character (for his entrance theme mostly) but it sucks that he was a victim of circumstance with the London bombings.
I just want to say that obviously what happened in London that day trumps anything to do with a fictitious character like Hassan, I'm just saying that he had the misfortune of bad timing.

Man, I miss Hassan. Though it always bugged me with people booing that initial promo when there was nothing heelish about it.

He had the greatest heel theme of all time.
Nothing quite encapsulated the idea of "I'm coming out here to kill everyone's buzz and go on a victimhood rant" quite like "ALAYLEEAHHHALEEAIIIIYAAAAA" did.

Holy crap he's only 33? Like I'm not saying the guy looked old or anything but it kind blows my mind on how he and Daivari were practically kids when they were on the main roster. Like Daivari is only 31.

He wasn't really that good of a wrestler, but it was a decent gimmick. Of course, it inevitably slipped into him being a terrorist, as the WWE wouldn't know what subtlety is even if the anthropomorphic personification of subtlety cock-slapped them collectively in the face.

Daivari was the real talent there, imo.

WWE's take on current events went from "Here's a middle eastern fellow who feels as though he is being victimized through no fault of his own. On one hand, he has a rather unpleasant demeanor, but on the other, he can help provide a unique perspective on what it truly means to be an American.", to "JOHN CENA LOVES THE GOOD OLD USA MAGGLE!!!!!! TRIBUTE TO THE TROOPS!!!!!"

He was so green in the ring. Even HBK couldn't get a decent match out of him.

I'm not going to lie. I'd mark out if HHH suddenly went on a rant calling everyone bigots against him and his kind.

I miss Muhammad Hassan. One of the greatest heels in WWE history and was amazing at pissing off the fans. He was alright in the ring but man he had more than enough heat to go places. He was a great heel because his motives were believable. Feeling like he was being mistreated because of his origins but only used the discrimination card as an excuse. IT PERFECT! I think the Smackdown where he had the middle eastern soldiers attack Taker was what crossed the line and even then I felt like "Ok this is a bit over the line here."

I don't know why, but it's still funny to me that one of his Mujahideen in that attack was Val Venis.

The guys who were in development with him never had anything bad to say. It was all the veterans that disliked him

Retired? I thought he was killed by Taker.
I remember a time when everyone thought he was boring, sucked and his character was inappropriate for the time period.
