What I want to know is why Kevin Dunn is such an obstacle now. He's been there for over 25 years. They've had at least 2 major overhauls in production since then. Why didn't he resist to those? Dunn was all for the Attitude era, I imagine, given his sense of potty humor that's been mentioned by some. He loves him some T&A (not to be confused with TNA). The second overhaul none of them, even Vince really had a choice in the matter.

When HHH takes over, firing Kevin Dunn should be the first act of business. What's so sad is that when Vince steps down (or let's face it passes away), Dunn will immediately retire before getting shit-canned.

Sometimes I think Dunn is the Grima Wormtongue of WWE. Other times I think he's just the best at telling Vince what he wants to hear. HHH: keep your fork tongue behind your buck teeth dunn

Because now that John Laurinaitis is out of power, people need a new boogeyman to blame when WWE does something they don't like instead of pointing the fingering at the indecisive control freak that's calling the shots. Keep in mind though that when Johnny Ace was moved over from talent relations the talent pool in WWE did in fact get a hell of a lot stronger so it isn't like criticism of him was baseless. Vince definitely seems to be a big part of the problem but there are a lot of broken pieces in the machine.

Yeah, but it bothers me that I've seen people blaming Dunn for the same things people used to blame Laurinaitis for. It's hard to take all the finger pointing seriously when many people can't seem to make up their mind about who is responsible for what. It's like people have this idea that Vince wants something and guys like Dunn or Laurinaitis just ignored his orders and hire, fire or push whoever they want. Developmental has gotten better because Vince gave Triple H pretty much free reign. If Triple H was under the same restrictions as Laurinaitis reportedly was under, basically to focus swimsuit models and guys built like Randy Orton wrestling skills be damned, what would NXT's talent pool look like? It's not like it takes a genius to hire people like Kevin Steen, Prince Devitt, and El Generico who can be centerpieces for NXT from the day they're hired.

I often wonder if Vince has allowed himself to get too insulated in recent years (where he is protected by people like Dunn) from hearing any criticism.
Austin, Jericho, Foley and others have said how Vince respects people who stand up to him. It seems odd that he would suddenly shut out guys who go against him. If rumors are true I could see someone like Dunn making sure Vince never receives criticism to keep the power he has while insuring Vince still sees him as a valuable asset to the company in changing times as Vince has shown no problem to shake things up.
This is compounded when you factor in that their are fewer options for wrestlers to make a comfortable living and thus they are probably afraid to "rock the boat" and lose their source of comfortable income.
All of it adds to a negative environment where status quo (which is still profitable) is expected and major changes in the product are seen as an unnecessary risk.

I don't really care at all about the business side of wrestling, I just want to watch the shows and go home happy, but if there is even a kernel of truth to all these stories Vince really needs to either learn how to delegate or step down.

I can't wait for Dunn to get given the old heave-ho.
I'm pretty certain we'll see a notable improvement in all areas.

Someone needs to step up to Vince regardless of Dunn's involvement. Hunter or somebody within the corporate level needs to say "Vince, what you're doing here is killing the product and fan interest!"
Or maybe Vince knows this and is so stubborn, complacent, and happy with the position that the WWE is in that he feels no need to change. Hence why people need to stop tuning in, stop buying the merchandise, stop ordering the PPV's, and start cancelling your subscription to the Network. The more you watch the more people like Vince and Dunn get your time, money, and energy.

While he still makes money doing things his way, and bending to the will of the fans and pushing the likes of Punk and Bryan hasn't yielded a tangibly greater amount of profit for the company, why wouldn't he keep doing what he's doing? Only if business was in the toilet would you see a change.

Those are some seriously talented people that they lost, all because of Vince and possibly Dunn. Don't know why, but the c-o-n-spiracy nut in me thinks that Vince is just actively trying to sabotage his own company before he let's Trips and Nips take over. Why he would do that exactly is anyone's guess but it's also not out of the realm of possibility, which is crazy in and of itself.
Honestly and for entirely selfish reasons, I want Vince to retire and hand over control so we can finally get a proper Vince McMahon DVD doc. I want to hear all those crazy ass stories straight from the guys that work there.
