It wasn't till years later that I realized that the face paint was in the shape of an R. I thought it was random lines they just painted on him. Which should tell how much I cared about the Renegade.

Oh yeah, I forgot about "Wolpac Sting". The best part is, if you watch PPVs from that time frame, you can TELL he knows what a doofus he looks like. I liked Wolfpac Sting.

Im guessing this one is post WWF Demolition: Man, Eadie just looks to be legions more of a star when standing next to a jabroni like Blast.

Who was Blast, anyways? A student of Eadie's, just some jabroni that he thought would work?

Warrior's cheek designs have been mentioned, and I am pretty sure they weren't actually done out of laziness. When he became champion, didn't the WWF try to make him more "human" and real so that kids wouldn't be afraid of him? It seemed like a conscious effort was made to make him less Warrior-like so that he could do mainstream media interviews, etc. The logos on his cheeks never looked as cool as the full design. I'm also not a huge fan of the designs he used that had dots and stuff. I thought three or four solid colours worked best.

Agreed. His Misfits/Frankenstein paint was bitchin' though.

In isolation, it looks halfassed, in context it makes sense as the paint he wore when his friends were turning on him, the transitional form between Surfer and Crow Sting and it furthered the mystery storyline, making people in the crowd question if he really was going to turn as his look and behavior were changing, looking more and more like an NWO member. It looked perfect at the time and wasn't like Warrior coming out with a tiny version of his facepaint drawn on one cheek or wearing a baseball cap because he felt like it.

I am a fan of red and black sting, but I agree the goatee is a bad look. I believe that just for Halloween Havoc 98 where Bret Hart knocked Sting out of commission. If memory serves correctly, he even did a stretcher job.

Don't have a picture handy, but the original Demolition pizza slice paint. Looked freaking terrible. Yeah I see what you mean. That was one of the custom facepaints in early THQ Smackdown Titles for PS2!! I always wondered where it was from, looked a bit like Kane but not quite right... they ripped off early demolition

The first time Jeff Hardy used facepaint was atrociously bad.
