Could you see him winning the Title? He was being pushed hard for years, and while his in-ring performances where lacking until his match with Cena, he seemed to be doing well for himself. It's kind of weird to think he bloomed in TNA, but man, he's awesome. I think the main problem was they tried to make him talk too much, and in TNA they surprisingly booked him so excellent that you didn't even really notice. I was a Lashley fan then, and I am now... So for discussion purposes, do you think he could have won the Title if he stuck around? He also had some awesome theme songs. www.youtube.com/watch?v=je184l4cwT8

I despised him in WWE yet loved him in TNA. He was probably the top 3 TNA Champion's they ever had. I can't think of many who where better. Early/summer of 2014 was such an odd time for TNA. Things looked to be actually getting better. I still think TNA went right back to their usual crap when he lost the title. {Spoiler} What a glorious time that was. Anywho, for WWE I think he would have been giving the 2nd place title/the WHC unfortunately. If he had stuck around and peaked as he did in TNA, he might have been able to win the WWE title itself in 2009. Wasn't that when Orton and Cena where feuding again?

I think he would have won the title for a month or two and used as a "monster" for Cena much like Earthquake and Slaughter were built up for Hogan.

I think WWE pushed him before he was really ready AND exposed most of his weaknesses. I remember the promo where Cena just completely outclassed him before their title match and it's like...why.

You could see the premise of his match with Kennedy at No Way Out 2007 was "both these fools are gonna be champion, deal with it", a bullet dodged in both cases.

Yeah he probably would of been a former world champion at one point. And honestly he wouldn't have been too bad. Like in hindsight he really wasn't that bad at all and him being pushed the unstoppable new face of ECW was what made everyone sour on him. Including me.
Like yeah he was bad on the mic and was hilariously awkward at it, but dude was not bad in the ring, hell of an athlete, and had charisma. If only if he was booked as a silent asskicker whether as a babyface or heel, he would of been remembered more fondly. Despite always being called Black Lesnar

I was a huge Lashley fan from around the time of his debut, I was gutted he didn't beat Cena at the Bash.

Lesnar vs Lashley is still a match I want to see... I think that has the potential to be a classic Brawl

Maybe. He did seem to finally be onto something around when he left. His brief feud with Cena was actually pretty decent.

Honestly, kind of doubt it. He had the potential to be one at a point, but they really wrecked him with the super-push, and you could tell his days were kind of numbered in the match with Cena where through the whole thing the crowd's cheering any time Cena does anything and is dead silent when Lashley's on offense. Since he didn't have any real accomplishments or anything to force them into continuing to push him or whatever, I could see him being moved into hanging around the midcard scene and being gone within a few years anyway.

He was being groomed as at the very least a #2 guy and possibly even potential replacement for Cena, and he left entirely on his own terms for reasons external to anything actually about him. He would absolutely have been giving both world titles if he'd stuck it out.

I think what also hindered him in WWE (besides his voice) was the stink of the December To Dismember PPV, it was already a shoddy event by the team he got crowned ECW Champion but at that time that was just icing on the already shitty cake.

He kind of sucked but he was totally groomed to become the next World Champ. Then he feuded with Cena and...Oh well he got destroyed clean at the Great American Bash. But what did you expect?

I thought he was terrible in WWE. I hear he was pretty good in TNA but I couldn't put myself through watching that so I'll take everyones word for it.

He was green as a dollar bill when WWE decided to push him straight to the moon. In TNA he had gotten some experience under his belt and was booked to play to his strengths.
