He did beat him once although it was by DQ. Although he always loses to him I do find it weird how competitive Swagger is always booked against Rusev who is now so much higher then him on the totem pole. Even in their match yesterday Rusev had to make such hard work of him and then even got beat up by him after the match, unless I guess it was just them throwing Swagger a little bit of a bone since it was in his home state. It was just strange seeing Rusev, who only has been three times in a year and a half, struggle so much against someone who is a jobber now and has been beaten five times in under three minutes in the last month by King Barrett who you could also argue is a jobber since the only guys he can these days are Swagger, Zack Ryder, and occasionally R-Truth although he even loses most of the time to him too.

Rusev would start air-trumpeting with Santino like the doomsday theorists predicted would happen as early as June 2014.

I know most people don't really like him but I just don't buy into Swagger being a loser. A guy as big/strong and as good of a mat wrestler as he is should be booked as a winner. He's probably one of the most legit fighters they have.

It's a tough matchup for Rusev. Rusev = Seahawks, Swagger = Rams.

I actually wish that was a storyline they would do more in wrestling, just like how in football some teams have a knack for beating other teams and have their number even though they have less talent. However in this era where wins and losses don't matter and they don't really care about it coming off as a legit sport, the chances of them doing that are very unlikely.

What could actually happen, considering Rusev has always beaten Mr. Swagger Don't know....everytime Swagger steps into the ring against Rusev, I think to myself: "Oh great....Swagger is gonna disappoint the USA again!" I can't even imagine what the scene would've been like if Swagger won the feud against Rusev...would he be in Rusev's position on the card?

They turned guys like Fandango face for no real reason and guys like Heath Slater have largely disappeared. The only guys getting any type of face time are the upper mid card or higher, so Swagger is stuck losing by default. And as much as Barrett loses, he'll always be regarded as a bigger commodity than Swagger; at some point They're gonna need Wade to put over guys like Reigns, Ambrose or Ziggler or win the IC Title again.

Bo Dallas would come out to the ring and lead a celebration for Swagger involving a marching band, Swagger's Dad, fireworks, cheerleaders and the return of the Swagger Soaring Eagle because Jack finally bolieved in himself enough to win.
Then we'd finally get the Swagger we should have got years ago.

If Swagger beat Rusev he'd probably be in the same spot on the card, except just appearing on TV more often as the United States Champion. Rusev is pissed about losing to Swagger so he takes his anger out by randomly attacking Cena. The Cena feud still happens and Rusev still loses. The only difference is that Cena isn't U.S. Champion.

Styles make fights, it's not just a ranking of 1 through 50 and the lower number will always win because they're better.

He'd be 1-99 against Rusev.
New name: Glass Jack.

To be honest Swagger should have beaten Rusev on Smackdown with Cesaro interfering or something

To be honest Swagger should have beaten Rusev on Smackdown with Cesaro interfering or something I think Rusev is done with Cesaro and Cesaro is feuding solely with Owens. Rusev is just biding time until Ziggler returns.

I thought that Swagger would be gone by this stage, considering that after Breaking Wade Barretts shoulder for no reason at all (Swagger had taken off Wades head almost with a really nasty clothesline beforehand) and after he was finished jobbing to Rusev a million times last year, that would be that.
To paraphrase Edge, what does it do to Rusevs career to beat Swagger once again?

The sad thing is twice they built up Swagger to the point that many people would have loved for him to be the one to hand Rusev his first real loss. People were popping like mad for him despite a few months in between those pushes of being back to random job fodder. Just goes to show that He could be a lot higher than he is but management isn't all that interested in building him up.

He's probably one of the most legit fighters they have. Swagger is the current king of "guys who should go down to NXT for a bit" I think. Stick him with Gable and Jordan and make them his Team Angle. Jack can improve his own character while they build theirs, and re-debut as a three man stable next year or something. Fantasy booking: Rusev is attacked by Team Swagger and laid out for months. This builds to vignettes of Rusev rehabbing, maybe after Summer dumps him cuz he's a loser (Summer then joins Team Swagger as their cheerleader), Rusev and Lana reunite in a huge Macho/Liz at WrestleMania moment. Rusev returns, but Swagger (now US champion, having beaten John Cena who held the title for almost a year) is ducking him and sending Team Swaggie (yeah, I just changed their name mid-thought, you don't think Vince would?!) to attack him, and maybe harass Lana, do some shit. Rusev finally gets some backup (bring in two European badasses, maybe that German soccer player will be ready by then?........) and while they fend off Team Swaggie, Rusev finally gets his hands on Swagger. Big match finally happens, Rusev beats Swagger for the title! Swagger can now go feud (and lose to) John Cena, who is now a 17 time World Champion.
