Probably. I still say once his UFC aspirations crash and burn he'll be back.

Did I listen to the same podcast as everyone else? I remember him being jaded, and telling some stories and then he said for now, he doesn't wanna come back. People make it sound like he told HHH to kill himself and f***ed Stephanie on live TV.
Also some of you are WAYYYY too bitter about a guy none of you will ever know on a personal level.

Punk accepts a spot in the TNA Hall of Fame, which has somehow inexplicably survived to the year 2025 even though its just Bram, Rockstar Spud, and Tyrus wrestling each other every week.

Yeah, listening to the podcast, Punk sounded like a guy that was beaten down and fell out of love with the WWE, and was upset with the problems he saw with the WWE - working guys to the bone, "I'll owe you one", the favouritism, bad planning and how he was giving much to the company and the product, but was not getting it back. And I agreed with most of what he said, and Punk said he was happy that guys like Antonio Cesaro and Daniel Bryan got what they deserved at WM30. He was a guy that was jaded, and had given people reasons why he left the WWE, and stated them clearly. And I don't blame him for leaving the WWE one bit. He was ill, tired, could not give 100 percent, was seeing his value as a wrestler plunge, saw WWE hold down another guy when it was clearly his year, and sounded like a guy that wanted out and the thing that he thought made him happy was making him miserable. Given that Triple H clearly does not like CM Punk, I cannot see a Hall of Fame entry for Punk.

This, like holy shit he didn't name call, call them satan, he mainly talked about him being burnt out. He even said that while he claimed he'll never come back, that time heals all wounds. It's not like he told them all to f*** themselves, did people really forget all of Warriors comments from the years? Honestly though, I don't think he would, he's sounds really stubborn, whether you take that as a positive or a negative, it's clear that he doesn't want to be involved with wrestling in any way, shape or form anymore.

If they got Bret, Bruno and Warrior, they can get Punk. It'll be years from now, but it'll happen. My thoughts exactly.

They all come back into the fold eventually, even if it ended up being posthumous in the case of Savage. Then again, the Punk situation includes (at least according to Punk's account) WWE gambling with his life, firing him on his wedding day and the guy who will likely be taking charge of the company in the next decade or so doing everything he could to hold him back, which is way bigger an axe to grind than Hogan, Savage, Warrior or Bret had. Eh Bret had a bigger axe to the grind with Owen Hart dying and being given a gimmick that cost him his life he probably would of never had if it wasn't for the Montreal Screwjob. Plus wrestlers back than worked more brutal schedules and were pressured more to keep working through injury through various factors of no guaranteed contracts basically pay per apperance payscale, less knowledge of injuries and drugs, didn't have the negative reputation and publicity of legions of dead/broken down wrestlers, company upstarting, etc. Plus it wasn't just a WWE thing during that time period, it was also an NHL/NFL/NBA/MLB/CFL/Etc thing. CM Punk might be one of the few guys to actually reveal that information publicly. Like I wouldn't be shocked if it happened to many other wrestlers other than Punk but Punk was one of the few to actually talk about it.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't. I bet he has a few mania matches too.

In about twenty years time when his celebrity shine has fizzled out and he's lost more than half his personal fortune to a divorce because he couldn't keep the straight edge in his pants and is desperate for cash from any and all sources-maybe. Make this about Sheamus or Cena and maybe people will actually be willing to take it as a joke.

I think the longer it takes, the less likely it will happen. Punk seems like a guy who would hold a grudge for the rest of his life just to prove wrong the few people that don't think he has the will to do so. I don't think he thinks anything less of Triple H and Stephanie than any of us do of coworkers who we've professionally butted heads with. I think he'll stay away more on stubborn principle. Especially if he continues to manage his money well.

My assumption is if he doesn't come back by 2017-2018, he won't - he'll be pushing 40 at that point. Of course, the only person that knows for sure is Punk.

No way will the WWE be giving him a live mic any time in the next 15 years or so, so it's not even an option really at the moment. if they get Shane to do the voice over, just Kai En Tai Punk...he walks up the podium and suddenly HELLO!! I AM CM PUNK!! THANK YOU FOR INDUCTING ME INTO THE HALL OF FAME!! GOODNIGHT!!! *cut stage lights, security escorts Punk off stage"* That's their plan for Big Poppa Pump.

The way he talked about never main eventing 'Mania, I really feel he cares about his legacy more then he lets on. I could definitely see him doing a HoF appearance at some point waaaaaay down the line, but I honestly don't think he ever wrestles for them again. I'm honestly thinking that he may never wrestle another match in any company, with him having his foot in the door with UFC I believe he'll end up a commentator or analyst for them when he's done fighting as he does have a true passion for the sport

Don't think so. I really think he's gonna be this generation's Randy Savage. Minus the Steph rumors and the illustrious beef jerky pitchman gig. Well, if by his AoW interview, he would've had the beef jerky pitchman gig, but was screwed over by the suits.
