I think the only way to guarantee it will never happen again is to fire Orton

listen here buddy: you don't tell WWE what you want to watch, WWE tells you what you want to watch
and you want to watch Sheamus vs. Orton so they can build up Orton for his long awaited feud against John Cena

I hate Orton as a face because literally all his feuds just turn into him and whoever just brawling all the time to a point where you forget what they were even fighting about. And as well as that for me, Orton is not exactly the most likable babyface, as he is not that good of a talker and his moveset is pretty much all heel, and his RKOUTTANOWHERE is a pretty cheap finisher without the taunt at the beginning. He just hits it and the match is over, unless there is a counter. Its hard to sum up Sheamus the character beyond "Irish" and "Dick", and he is a stereotypical big WWE hoss who GHSi. In addition to that, he is one of the most overpushed people on the roster and there was no reason for this feud to go beyond Battleground. A last man standing match can be a really good match, but we have already had many of them over the past few years, and now it just seems old. Not to mention that because of the really rote way these two wrestle (especially each other), and that in a last man standing match there is a lot of dead time, the likely match that will happen in NY between these two might be one of the worst of the year so far.

What even are they fighting about? I think that Orton wants to make Sheamus entertaining, and will try and do that because nobody has done that before. Basically, Orton called Sheamus boring. Yes, the fave guy of the Smackdown seagulls as a face called out Sheamus for being boring.

Eh, I'm fine with it. Orton is pretty solid and Sheamus is always a treat.

What even are they fighting about? I think Sheamus injured him once a while back? Whatever started this should be considered old news because they had a wrestle about it on Battleground and Orton beat him clean as a sheet. Yet Orton still actively pursues Sheamus as if there's unfinished business when it's about as finished as anything ought to be.

Yeah, I've added this along with Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels and Alberto Del Rio vs. anyone to my "Matches I Never Want To See Again As Long As I Live" list.

The 'filler feud' between Summer Slam and Wrestlemania will be Orton and Sheamus.
Did I mention it's Summer Slam 2015 and Wrestlemania 39?

This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that every one of their matches is putrid. Those two have no chemistry whatsoever.
I'm always gonna have Undertaker/Big Boss Man as the worst HIAC match ever, but Orton/Sheamus makes a valid argument.

They're at it again, because what else is there for them to do? I mean, where or what exactly should they be doing on the card? They could try elevating other people to feud with them. If Sheamus and Orton HAVE to be on TV, then they should either be chasing the midcard titles, teaming up with a lower card talent to help give them a rub, or wrestling guys further down the card. They don't need to be feuding with each other for no reason other than to get them on the Summerslam card.

I love Orton, and I like Sheamus...but why is this still happening? They have zero chemistry in the ring. Their matches are NEVER interesting. They would both be better served facing other people.

Complaining about the amount of PPV matches two guys have is fine (Sheamus vs Del Rio being the benchmark). But you're showing matches between them from Raw over a five year period. Big deal those happen.

Or at least the actual sample ends up in a plantpot before it gets a chance to be tested. And has Orton even mentioned the only reason that he should still be after Sheamus - challenging him for the briefcase? Because if I was Orton, that would be the first thing I would mention. Not that Sheamus has any business having that thing in his hands in the first place.

They're at it again, because what else is there for them to do? I mean, where or what exactly should they be doing on the card? If someone doesn't have a place where they can be contributing something, then they don't need to be around. Give them a month off or something. Just don't keep putting together a combination of guys whose most famous match was them boring the crowd into mercilessly shitting all over them. I think you hit the nail on the head. There's no reason they should have any of these guys, Orton and Sheamus included, wrestling 300 days out of the year, and half of the time they're just doing rematches. If you don't have anything for a guy, give him a break for a month or so. Not only would that make the shows fresher, it would almost certainly cut down on the injuries.

I'm not a huge Orton fan, but he works as a heel. As a face, though.....he's god awful. And I think he knows it too.
