Jerry Lynn is the most underrated/underutilized talent in the business in my opinion. His feuds with RVD/XPac led to them having long, successful careers. I never understood why Lynn never got a steady mainstream gig like they did. It might be because of him being so soft spoken.

I hope he gets the treatment he needs, but it's rather grotesque for anyone to have to require this kind of funding to pay for essential medical care.

Lance Storm told a story that he didn't get his due in WCW because of a tour in japan when he was Mr JL, and did something to the effect of not putting good matches, maybe like complain about getting stiffed I'm not sure, he received heat from a clique, maybe the Benoit one but I'm not sure if he was around that time along with Eddie and Malenko. And in the wwe he didn't got over because, if memory serves me right, he won the belt on his first match, according to Bubba Ray in his rf shoot, when that happens it's never a good idea and the guy never gets over, I kinda agree with him, it puts too much pressure on the performer, very few people pulled it off, like Paige and Carlito. I'm glad he raised that much money, hope he can get the rest soon enough.

I honestly don't remember him having any matches with non cruiserweight/high flyers (Dean, Sabu, Alex Wright, luchadors). I know he did but the only matches I remember are the cruiserweight ones I think he had a match with Konan which was quite good, but still such a shame. The one thing that sort of killed it for me with him was when someone referred to him as Richard Dreyfuss.

You know, if the WWE would start putting in workhorse lesser known guys into the Hall, Lynn would be a great fit.

I'm glad this all worked out. For all the shit they get for being idiots or nerds or entitled or whatever, wrestling fans sure have big hearts. They've helped many of these guys in these cases.

Met Jerry Lynn several years back when he was booked for ACW. Very nice guy. He complimented my Behemoth shirt, which I thought was pretty cool. Glad his goal got met and the surgery was a success.

During a live interview, Jerry said my username on the TotalRock radio forum in a death metal voice.
Sounds so stupid and nothing but I always remembered it. Dude seems crazy polite and humble.
I hope something happens and he gets recognition and security for his years of hard work.
