Ever since Kane got written off of TV.
Coincidence?

It was an Authority free Raw outside of Rollins. Hell I think even last week Trips and Steph were only in the opening segment and maybe one backstage segment and that's it. An unusually low amount of appearances

The peeling back of The Authority one by one until it's just Rollins on his own truly is what's "best for business". Dude can hold his own and was great on Raw. Though I'll take a pass on a Triple H and Stephanie face turn unless Rollins just gets to bury them six feet deep.
I'm just ready for The Authority and fate of the company/owners holding down talent storylines to be done with. The only things ever associated with The Authority that felt fresh and that fans were clamoring to see get used in a high profile position were The Shield and Daniel Bryan.

Generally, Rollins on his own >> Rollins with his Authority mates.

Seth being a cocky, smarmy bastard on his own without the world's lamest backup team is what I prefer.

The real answer is that it's Summerslam so they decided to try again and not just go through the motions.

I loved the Cesaro-Owens segment, also enjoyed the main event this week. A good raw, it may have to do with Kane or that the writing has gotten better since its close the 2nd mos important show of the year.

Don't worry, they'll make up for it when 2 of the 4 hours at Summerslam are nothing but a HHH Promo and Kane wrestling Big Show.

I just find there is no need for the authority. The whole "evil authority" thing has been beaten to death and it is simply boring at this point. There is only so much you can do in an authority role and at this point there is little left to do that hasn't been done multiple times over the last 15+ years. It should have been killed off for good when Bryan won at WM 30.
I, and I highly suspect others, would be perfectly happy never seeing another evil authority/owner angle again in pro wrestling.
Can't blame Kane as I find he's done well in his role, its just that the role isn't good.
There is definitely a place on the roster for Kane/Big Show as they are both good, safe workers. Just that this isn't the place for them and never should have been.

Seth told us that Cena ran the place, that kind of undermined the whole Authority angle.

They still had Rollins, so it wasn't really that fresh.

I don't know about never again but I think they need to get away from the evil authority figure for awhile at least 8 to 10 years, it's just so played out. I long for the days of authority figures like Jack Tunney that only showed up occasionally when they story line really needed it, made their decision, and left.

It's almost like HHH and Stephanie themselves don't want to be on RAW every week. It's like they would be gone after WrestleMania, but a certain someone with three letters like the WWE won't let them go........ Hmmm.
