Anyone else find this crowd chant just a little bit distasteful? Celebrating that a guy was actually, legitimately injured and literally disfigured in the ring? Hell, if we did that in here we'd be banned.
Not cool, live crowd. Not cool.

If he broke his neck, then yeah I'd agree but Cena will be fine. It's more them voicing their displeasure with Cena than celebrating his injury.

Even just a broken nose I might have joined in, but given he was admitted back into hospital because of breathing problems... yeah not cool.

But DO NOT chant that. And I don't think Colby Lopez liked those chants either.

I mean, it was savagery personified but at the same time, wrestling and other combat sports attract those kind of fans. Kinda like how everybody loses their shit when Ronda Rousey murks somebody.
Jesus Christ autocorrect, I use murk too much for you to change it like 10 times.

Has this happened to any other faces? I'm trying to think of times where a large portion of the crowd cheered for the legitimate injury of someone.

It just shows where people's tolerance level is with Ultra Cena right now.
Am I glad he's hurt? Hell no, I wouldn't wish injury on anyone.
Am I glad I'm getting a reprieve from Ultra Cena, despite the tough-luck legit reason it happened? Hell yes.
Of course it will just be chalked up to POLARIZING and not a single thing will change... But that chant was brutal, and if Cena needed an excuse to go off on the fans, to change his ways even a little bit... That's it.

Yeah, I don't really care for that kind of stuff and found it quite tasteless. Cena's not my cup of tea and I don't really want another world title reign out of him, but the dude works hard and at least deserves some respect especially after something like that.
Rollins played it up great like a heel should, though.

Things like this are why there is nothing funnier to me than when John Cena wins a match and you have grown men fuming over it. It’s like they don’t realize this is just wrestling. If you’re cheering a human being getting legitimately injured and are devastated when a scripted match doesn’t go to your liking then sorry, but I’m not going to feel bad about making fun of you and your overreactions.
And last night they were in the same arena that chanted those horrible things towards the Divas the night after Wrestlemania so they’re not exactly known to be the classiest bunch.

While I'm glad he got a well deserved break am I the only one that hoped Cena would be on Raw tonight?

I don't think they were celebrating the injury. They were just voicing how tired they are of Cena the character. Vince needs to listen to the fans this time and change the character.
When you have fans thanking the heel for legitimately(on accident) injuring your top face? Yeah, you know fans have grown tired of your top face.

Thought it was pretty brutal of the fans.
Also think it's a long overdue wake up call.

Also think it's a long overdue wake up call. The problem is Vince still won't listen. I mean...what is it going to take to get the hint that a large portion of the audience doesn't enjoy the booking of Cena?

It says a lot when the crowd will openly cheer for a heel that injures John Cena. I wasn't a huge fan of the chant myself, but it's hard to get much more vocal about the disdain people have for Cena than that.

Personally I don't want to be stabbed, but when I go to the ring, if I can piss someone off enough to try and stab me, I did a good job.

My only real problem was the fact that Rollins didn't really heel it up. He seemed to play to the fans and enjoy the chant. Should've told them he doesn't need their thanks etc. Instead he went with them. Heel it up damnit.
