Not quite. The original belt you're thinking of was the WWF Junior Heavyweight title, which existed from 1965 through 1985, when WWF and New Japan broke off their working relationship. The WWF abandoned the title and no one whose held it since in any incarnation has been recognized by the WWE. The Lightweight title was introduced in 1997 with no lineage to the Junior title. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WWF_Light_Heavyweight_Champions The old Jr. HW belt was awarded to the '94 Super J Cup winner. It was the LHW Title. The official Junior Heavyweight belt was decommissioned in 1985. Whatever has been done with it since this is on the same level as Barbarian defending the WCW Hardcore titles on whatever independent shows he's been booked at since then. The guys in Mexico and Japan can play wit it as a toy all they want, but the belt hasn't been official to the company that created it and controlled it for thirty years now. It never "returned" to WWE, in any shape, form or fashion to become the new Lightweight title, which was a completely new title with a completely new lineage. Whoever edited that Wikipedia page (note: never trust Wikipedia) doesn't have any idea what they're talking about. Period. End of story.

Damn. And here I thought Liger could have been a former WWE title holder via proxy. Ah well.

Damn. And here I thought Liger could have been a former WWE title holder via proxy. Ah well. Oh, don't get me wrong, there's some really interesting history to the title, for sure. It showing up on WCW programming being a highlight. Just hasn't been a legitimate WWF/WWE title during most of that time. Same thing happened with the WWF's North American Heavyweight title. After a couple of champions, it was passed on to a New Japan guy (Seiji Sakaguchi) and abandoned by the WWF. Interestingly, the same thing happened earlier that year (1979) when Sakaguchi won the NWF North American HW title. NWF was from the Buffalo area and promoted by top WWF guy Pedro Martinez. Even crazier, in the same year, about halfway between those two title changes, Sakaguchi (along with Ricki Choshu) won the "NWA" (Los Angeles promotion) North American Tag titles, after which it was also decommissioned. Now granted, all three titles were primarily being used as props to help the various promotions' working relationships with New Japan, but it's kind of funny how one guy in the span of about eight months won and was the last champion of three different promotions' North American titles before they were abandoned.

Glen Jacobs played different characters (and neither acknowledged to be the same person) at 3 consecutive Survivor Series. 1995 - Dr. Isaac Yankem, 1996 - Fake Diesel and 1997 - Kane.

Bob Holly has a pinfall victory over The Rock. In 1999. For the Tag Team titles. Wasn't a clean fall but he did it.

Wrestlemania 2 was the only WM ever held on a Monday.
Up until 1997, the WWF title never changed hands at Summerslam.
The WWF, IC, and tag titles never all changed hands at a single PPV until Summerslam 99.
The New York Rangers had a home game at Madison Square Garden the same day as Wrestlemania 1.

Friday is the only day in the US that WWE has never ran a PPV. Yet the most watched program in the company's history happened on a Friday. What program was that?

The Undertaker wrestled in the main event of the 1st Monday Day Night Raw. Against The Warlord, right? Stone Cold Steve Austin was never involved in a WWF Title match at Survivor Series though he was booked in one in 99 and a title tournament in 98. This isn't all that surprising, given Austin was only really near the title for three years out of a roundabout four year run.
