Particularly that Jenner wasn't always a good person. Not to mention her seemingly flip flopping on Gay Marriage issues. Kyle is the only person who won't just paint her as some amazing hero just because of her transition. A famous person turns out to be complicated and has evolved over time? Yeah, let's make an episode where we mock the shit out of her for that during what's probably a pivotal and emotionally trying period in her life! Yeah, it's not like she killed someone or anything....

The episode didn't even feature Jenner at all in a physical sense. In essence it was mostly just going after white cis men who feel like they should be the ones who force political correctness on others.
That and some random Tom Brady stuff

Yeah, it's not like she killed someone or anything.... In what was more than likely an accident and not out of any malice on her part, a terrible mistake at worse. With all of the death threats Jenner's received for her transition, not the accident- people deifying her and alleged "political correctness" (which sounds more to me like basic support) is not the biggest concern involving her. I honestly used to love South Park when I was younger, but over the years it just feels like Matt and Trey have gotten more bitter, and ever other episode seems to revolve around bitching about whatever celebrity's popular at the moment, regardless of the reason.

And last thing- I really hope one day the term "political correctness" eventually dies and never comes back. It's been co-opted by too many people who try to use it as a smokescreen for bigoted opinions.

Well you didn't even watch the episode, so I don't think you're really qualified to talk about it.

It was more a dig at how the PC culture of today is mainly upheld by the group of people who statistically see the least amount of hate spewed their way and their insistence that everyone must follow their form of tolerance...

They really were not bashing Jenner. Only time Jenner really came up was Kyle saying she was not a Hero to him. Not that what she did did not take courage, but he did not think she was heroic for things in the past.

The episode was more on the current extreme nature of political correctness itself from those who never have to deal with being in the underprivileged camp (mainly the P.C group being a bunch of white cis male college jocks) than being some 22 minute bash on Caitlyn, which it really never becomes.

Hell, they even made fun of Farve for his saracstic clapping at the ESPYS

Maybe I'm not qualified to judge it, but from that description I'm still skipping it. Not to defend Farve or anything, but I don't think it's South Park's place to question people's sincerity, regardless if they're cis white males, minorities or otherwise.

Why? On whose authority can they not question someone's sincerity? There are legit issues with Social Justice just ask Bill Maher, Chris Rock, Larry the Cable Guy, Amy Pohler, Jerry Seinfeld, Matt Damon and Amy Schumer.

Don't "Isaac Hayes" the "cherry picking what to be offended by South Park " thing.
Might not make sense. But watch it to form your opinion would be my advice.

Whenever I see people whine about political correctness I can't help but think of this, especially the Bill Mahers and Jerry Seinfelds of the world: I don't even know why Jerry Seinfeld is complaining about this because his standup is like, really safe and milquetoast. I don't think anyone would use "edgy" or "pushes the boundaries of good taste" to describe Jerry Seinfeld. That said, I didn't see the episode making fun of social justice movements at their core, but rather the idea of white, straight cis men turning into some sort of gatekeepers of the movement, in the form of frat bros.

Maybe. They said PC Principle was staying, so if this is another season arc he may be back next week. I hope so, because he was hilarious. Heck, I'm in favor of him being a permanent character after just one episode.

True and they do have another video game coming out. I can see them doing another tie in like they did last time with the stick of the truth and the black Friday saga.

Great episode. I don't get the term "cis gender males" though that I keep seeing in this thread. So is the PC thing to say now anyone born a gender which they identify with now shall be referred to as cis gender male or female rather than just male or female?

So is the PC thing to say now anyone born a gender which they identify with now shall be referred to as cis gender male or female rather than just male or female? That's how it works, yeah. It's not needed to say gender, cis male or cis female gets the point across all the same.
