I guess I feel kind of bad for the guy, because all he gets here on FAN is pessimism and mocking. So I guess we should at least try to think of any good moments he may have had.

I'd argue his hilarious moments ARE his good moments. Making Dangerous Pits and acting like a goober is the most I've ever been entertained by him.

That time Kurt Angle done that gravity-defying somersault off the stage onto him is something awesome that happend he was involved in.

That NWA World Title win was a great moment!!!!
Joseph Parks early on was mildly entertaining in all seriousness.

Honestly, Joseph Park. The guy was able to get a lawyer over as a face. His J. Park run was like Pee Wee in the movie at the end of Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Bad acting/wrestling on purpose is so hard to do and they both pulled it off

That NWA World Title win was a great moment!!!! Joseph Parks early on was mildly entertaining in all seriousness. That moment when Sting lost the title thanks to DQ for pushing the ref, after several steel chairshots to Abyss, thumbtacks, the pinata spot where Abyss was swinging from a chain and then that was so f**ked up.

I liked his feud with Christian. It was shortly after Christian joined the company and won the belt. Just a good old fashioned good vs. evil feud.

When James Mitchell managed him and Abyss didn't talked, cause his voice sucks, he can't cut a promo, all he does is scream.

Nothing wrong with Abyss from 2004 till like 2007.
His stuff with Styles and Christian in particular.

Nothing wrong with Abyss from 2004 till like 2007. His stuff with Styles and Christian in particular. The thing is, he needed No DQ to actually have decent matches, as he wasn't a particulary good wrestler and needed garbage matches to cover his weaknesses. He took part in so many garbage matches and spent so much time rolling around on thumbtacks that eventually, it lost all its impact. Those matches with Dustin Rhodes were pretty sad, considering that Dustin was so strung out he cannot remember most of his TNA run. Also, TNA ran no blood testing during those years, and Motor City Machine Guns were actually depushed when they refused to blade in their feud with Team 3D. I don't blame Alex and Chris for not blading, considering Abyss was rolling around on thumbtacks and cutting himself open every two weeks. Abyss was pretty poor in the ring, and it was a shame that the was pushed in favour of guys that could go because he loved to slam himself on thumbtacks.

Abyss was never this technical wrestling masterpiece, he was always sloppy as far as his in ring skills and was slightly better when he weighed less and could do a frog splash. With all the times he bladed and got set on fire in front of less than a million viewers, he should have been treated better instead of "have I bladed enough for people to care?".

His match with AJ at Lockdown 2005 was great, back when he was the best big man in wrestling.
I don't think he'll ever have a day now where he's not hurting due to all the stuff he did to himself the past six years.

Honestly that Joseph Park/Bully Ray match justifies his career. Extremely well done, never should have stuck around past that but it was still extremely good.

Monster Ball matches... Barbwire match with sabu I never quite understood the concept of the Monster's. Ball match. Why not just call it s hardcore match, or a no DQ?

Monster Ball matches... Barbwire match with sabu I never quite understood the concept of the Monster's. Ball match. Why not just call it s hardcore match, or a no DQ? At a time the idea was that all involved would spend a full day locked up alone in a dark room with access to no food, no water, and no way to pass the time to make them feel especially depraved. Of course realistically this should have just made them collapse dehydrated soon as they tried to throw a punch but whatever.

Of course he did. This site is just really harsh against him. He was consistently an entertaining dude until he came back in all white/started talking. Joseph Park though? Gold.

I thought he was pretty awesome in 2005 and 2006. His Lockdown match with AJ Styles and the Barbed Wire Massacre match with Sabu were both among TNA's best matches ever as well.
And he was great during his brief run as Prince Nana's monster in the Embassy in ROH.
