Capitol Carnage 98 Freshly crownded heel champ Rock was advertised in a match against babyface HHH and X-Pac against Regal for the European Championship. Regal had "health problems" so at the pay-per-view they announce HHH vs Jarrett and Rock vs X-Pac... Would have been furious if I had paid XYZ pounds for that!

I would argue the Dusty Finish at Elimination Chamber with Ambrose winning was up there. Absolutely no reason to at least not let the fans go home happy that night with Ambrose as champion, the logic made no sense (one thing I noticed about old WCW matches, if the interference happened in front of the ref and it backfired, the ref would let it go), and it would have, if nothing else, made the Network "must-see" (after all, for $9.99, you get a title change).

A really obvious one would be the failed Bryan/Wyatt heel turn. That was a pretty big middle finger to the fans. Having Batista winning last year's and Bryan getting eliminated from this year's Rumble so quickly are other examples of them screwing the fans over. It's like they were telling the fans "what? you like this guy? well tough shit idiots! We don't give one damn what you think. WE tell you what to like and you'll like it."
All the most recent instances all involve the same guy...lol. Earlier examples would be HHH winning when he shouldn't have. There are too many to list in a short time.

WrestleMania 16. I remember begging my mom to buy the show because I KNEW The Rock was gonna win and I wanted to see it. HHH wins. Was NOT happy.

Oh, just remembered one from a ways back. Wrestlemania 25, Miz and Morrison vs Primo and Carlito to unify the tag titles. I was looking forward to it, and waited and waited and waited... just to realize, oh it happened on the preshow. Great.

Having Daniel Bryan win the WWE Championship twice in 2013, only to then take it away from him straight away on both occasions. I know it had a happy ending at WrestleMania 30 but the fact that his 2014 reign was cut short makes this a bitter one. Not to mention we had to put up with Big Show getting involved in the storyline and ruining the main event of Battleground plus there was that whole 2 weeks that Daniel Bryan joined the Wyatt Family.

I think WWE postponing an entire house show in Greenville, SC so they could suddenly do an Elimination Chamber Network special with two weeks notice might work for this thread. Does this really count? You went for a house show, you got a big show instead. I mean the crowd was a touch dead, but the show wasn't so bad.

I'm not talking about Corpus Christ getting a PPV instead of a house show, I am talking about the other house show that was scheduled the same day that got post-posed so they could have the full roster at Elimination Chamber.

How about anytime John Cena was off filming/pimping some schlock movie, so they leave it to the ring announcer to say "John can't make it to the show tonight"?
Haven't been to a house show since 12 Rounds was filmed. My son was a bit miffed.

I remember the buildup was huge and there was tons of speculation on who it would actually be. when Vince was revealed it was a huge letdown and I was already tiring of the Austin-Vince angle and it felt like they dropped the ball. I do remember switching it to Nitro right when he said he "It was me" line. Really hated that moment/angle. Total letdown.

18 seconds was painful. I decided I was going to that show just a couple of weeks beforehand, drove 50 hours in 3 days, spent like $500, and the guy I really wanted to at least see have a great match gets jobbed out like that. I was so upset. I wanted to fight my buddy who was cheering for it.

Booker T/Triple H.
As a black kid in the South, nah. I see racism everywhere. I don't need to see it in my escape too.

Summerslam 2003, the Elimination Chamber. I watched that show for the sole purpose of seeing Goldberg win the Big Gold Belt in a WWE ring. When HHH won... I felt utterly shocked, almost violated. I know I'm not the only fan who was sorely disappointed.

To those who are mentioning Bryan joining the Wyatt family. According to Bryan's book, it was his idea.
As for this thread.... man so many bad memories being relived. Most of the times I felt like I was screwed over I've blocked out. Could probably fill up a whole page of things since I followed Raw since the very beginning.
I'll just go with my most recent one, which is Owens losing to Cena in the 3rd match. It isn't that Owens lost, it's that the whole storyline of the Cena open challenge died. I got invested in that. Who was the surprise opponent, who was going to be the guy to finally beat him and win the title.... The answer turned out to be nobody.

One night only, Bulldog is to defend his title successfully in front of a home crowd for his sister in a feel good moment to end the show but HBK throws a tantrum and has to win a belt he does nothing with.
