I honestly believe the point of the Revolution is merely to waste another top guy by having him do a stupid angle. Bear in mind that this is par for the course in TNA, as our current IWGP Heavyweight Champion was O-Kato when he was with this company of morons. To quote Kazuchika Okada, "f*** TNA". To think they had a working relationship with njpw...now even shitty world 1 tells them to f*** off. It soured when TNA allowed Jeff Hardy to work Wrestle Kingdom 6 stoned off his ass when he was TNA World Champion.

New Japan was willing to overlook that, if TNA would have Team 3D lose and put over No Limit who had won the belts, on a PPV show. But TNA decided that them feuding with The Nasty Boyz would draw in more interest

Team 3D worked the show, and the big feud for the tag belts in this new regime involved Hogan's old running buddies. No wonder New Japan was pissed.

Yeah, Team 3D lost the IWGP Belts to No Limit the same day that the Hogan Era began as WK5 was held the same day as it. NJPW wanted them to have a rematch between the two on a TNA show and No Limit would successfully retain against them, TNA instead opted to have Ray and Devon feud with The Nasty Boyz who were pretty much gone after they had their match against them.

Ok TNA screwed Okada when New Japan wanted him to get some experience. Jeff Hardy bombed at the Tokyo Dome. Instead of keeping 3D hot so that they could feud with No Limit, they fed them to the Nasty Boys.
There's stupid and there's TNA stupid.
Now I want to see the Revolution in NJPW just to see how the crowd would react.

To think Hiroshi Tanahashi did shows for TNA, good thing he was called back before they could do anything. They killed Sanada's chances of being an Ace when they decided to have him be The Great Sanada. Wrestling in Japan doesn't see stuff like that as paying homage, they see it as insulting and disrespecting Muta and Legends by doing that. Look at Akira Raijin, came in as Kiyoshi and also dressed up in a Muta like getup with his face painted and spewing mist and now he spends his day as SUSHI in All Japan and wrestling with a platter of expired food on his head. And NWA almost didn't get the working relationship with them because the champ at the time, Kahagas, surprise surprise was also a Muta knockoff. That's why Rob Conway has held the belt there

Seems like they thought about where they wanted it to go, but then decided to change direction.

The Revolution was Big John Gaburick watching Raw on his DVR and deciding that TNA could make a better Wyatt Family. Boy, was he wrong.

TNA decided they would copy Vince's Hobo Army.

Dixie should come out and separate them into 3 different teams and have them all feud.

Yet another attempt by TNA to copy the WWE without bothering to figure out how or why it worked in the first place.
Pathetic, really.
