I forgot about the angle until this thread was posted. I remember Tigre cutting a promo in Mexico calling out Trump...did anything happened after that? I was thinking about the cost of shooting the segment with Tigre there. They don't have a working relationship with AAA or another promotion who could pay for the shooting. That means they send a filming crew to Mexico...so they paid for at least a couple of airline tickets, then accommodations in a hotel, food, I'm not sure about the costs of the stuff they needed to shoot the vignette with, the cost of producing the video, etc...was it around the thousands of dollars? Maybe 5 grand? My second question is this one, did they threw thousands of dollars to the trash for a f***ing segment that's not going to amount to shit? A: Nothing happened. Literally nothing. I think they legitimately expected big news sites to pick up on it, but nadda. B: lolTNA Ok after hearing Bruce Pritchard explain that Dixie Carter has no concept of contracts and what an independent contractor is, then taping a segment in a foreign country just because...I just realized that Dixie Carter wants to kill her own company. It's like she has heard every single advice from people in the wrestling business and decided to do the opposite thing, she doesn't want her company to succeed. It's the only explanation as to why TNA is in such bad shape.

"little fool can't even get Donald Trump to show up. Job him out!" Not kidding, I kind of want Billy Corgan to win a title in TNA now, just for total WCW-ification. I know they already did it with Pacman, but still.

With Stewart seemingly in the WWE now, I can see them wanting to hire Stephen Colbert and putting the title on him.

If TNA was smart, they would asked AAA to borrow Goya Kong to get Trump's attention. She's everything Donald hates: female, Hispanic, and overweight.

One problem with the Tigre Uno deal was that he was actually pretty laid back and polite. I wasn't expecting...that. I thought it would be some hilarious trashing of Trump, flat out calling him out for a fight, something actually that might grab some attention. Instead we had a lucha guy putting over the merits of his hometown and saying basically "Sir, I think you're wrong." Who would care?

Why couldn't they hire Ace Steel for the night?

Why couldn't they hire Ace Steel for the night? They tried but expected him to bring CM Punk along...

This just reminds me of that time Bischoff challenged Vince McMahon to a match at Slamboree. Then even went to all the trouble of having Bischoff enter, then have them announce Vince. Of course Vince didn't turn up so Bischoff had the referee award him the match. I dunno what's sadder, that or the fact that when they show this "match" on the WWE Network, they edited it so that "Vince" enters to No Chance In Hell.

Actually I think that calling out Vince worked because the WCW audience thought that he was scared of Bischoff, I may be wrong. Oh and I always wondered how that shoot fight would go, Bischoff is a legit black belt in Karate, Ernest Miller who taught Karate claimed that he was very good, so I'll give Bischoff the edge on striking, but Vince was so much bigger...
