I'd have preferred Flair, Michaels (IC champ), Perfect and Pillman (or Luger) after Survivors 92 as the improved Horsemen
Flair as the elder leader Michaels as the arrogant boy toy Pillman as the loose cannon Perfect as the mastermind
4 excellent technical masters who could talk (Pillman and Michaels still had to find their groove) and were absolutely believable villains
Hell put Heenan with them if needed

There is no such thing as brand loyalty, people will only claim there is because WWE are the only big company left.

Why did it take Vince decades to realize that the reason Superstar and Hogan were so popular was their charisma, not their muscles? The muscles didn't hurt, to be fair. Hogan being a, well, hulking guy did make him pretty eye catching, along with the loud colors, distinctive mustache and haircut. He was a very visually striking, in addition to being such a cartoon character with presence. I still think to this day, even after the racist rant, that a pissed-off Hulk Hogan coming to the ring is one of the best visuals in wrestling

Shane Douglas might have been the first of this group, but wasn't that in 1989? Late 1990, if not very early 1991. Rumble '91 was one of his only (if not his sole) major WWF appearance.
