I'm a Lions and Tigers fan, basically pick a year. That's the thing about being a Tiger's fan that annoys me the most. We have all that talent but for some odd reason we can't utilize it.

The early 90's Yankees were terrible. And the Giants after Parcells left.
The worst for me to stomach was watching the Sox win the '04 Series.

Quick question to Euro football fans: the hell teams get regulated means? Is it bad? Yes, it's pretty damn bad. We have leagues, which are split into divisions. Using the English football league we have the Premiership, then the Championship, then Leagues One and two. They used to be called division 1 through 4 until TV money and sponsorship made a difference in the '90s. There are many more leagues below that, right down to basically pub level. Bottom 2 or 3 clubs (depending on the country or division they are in) get dropped down into the division below. This is called relegation. Less money, smaller crowds, best players want to leave ect ect. All the teams want to get promoted back into the next league, this means competition is fierce and your position actually means something. I'm in favor of instituting that into baseball. It would add a whole new dimension to the game. Sure, it would mean that my beloved Pirates would have been relegated to the Dominican League in the 90s and 2000s, but still.

Blow up the farm system and start over.

Could be a lot worse but still Manchester United's 2013/14 season was just depressing. Only buys were Fellaini and Zaha who both did nothing that season and then Juan Mata came along. Moyes absolutely wrecked us.

Well, it could be said that he just continued Fergie's rather poor judgement in his last few years in charge...

Last year for the Devils was brutal. Not much in the way of redeeming hockey play. Mets just pick a year with one of those embarrassing collapses. Vikings the 2013 season was tough in most ways. Awful

As a Redskins fan who was only two years old when they won their last Super Bowl, I've seen way too many shitty seasons. Worst sports year in total was 2008 for me. UNC Basketball: have an outstanding season and go into the Final Four 36-2 overall. Run up against Kansas and get crushed. UNC Football: Finish 8-4, but lose three games in the regular season that they should've won. Lost their bowl game by one point. LA Lakers: Make it to the Finals for the first time in four years to play archenemy Boston Celtics. Get defeated in six games and lose the last game by 39 points. Washington Redskins: Begin season 6-2, but finish 8-8 and miss the playoffs by one game. Several games that were lost the Skins had slip away. Boston Red Sox: Defending champs, lose a heartbreaking seventh game of the ALCS to rival Tampa Bay. Sox were down 3-1, but forced a seventh game.

Yankees - Last few years when they didn't make the playoffs. I'd say the late 80's/early 90's seasons but I barely remember them.
Giants - The Dave Brown seasons were really bad to watch. 2003 was awful, too.
Knicks - The Isiah Thomas years.
Devils - 2013-14 or 2014-15 seasons for the Devils.

Supporting Spurs through the start of 2008-9 was not easy considering we sold all our best players (having just won a trophy) and then proceeded to not win a league game for 3 months!!! The popular joke of the time being: What does a Spurs fan do after seeing his team win?.......Turn of the X Box!

As a Niners fan, last season and it's still going on right now. Bad on the field teams are one thing, but the Niners have just fallen apart, and there's the even worse off the field legal issues.

Tennessee fan here and I have two words for you Derek Dooley.
First of all there was the game with UAB who for years had been one of the favorite FBS punching bags of the SEC. It took two over-times for the Vols to put away a team that in 2010 won four games. He then followed that up with the LSU game. When it looked like Tennessee had been given a gift due to LSU's poor clock management, Tennessee got a penalty for having 13 men on the field. 12 men on the field is just a simple mistake but there is no excuse for having 13 people on the field.
2011 was even worse. After beating Vanderbilt Dooley said "One thing Tennessee always does is kick the **** out of Vanderbilt" He followed this up by Tennessee losing to a poor Kentucky team for the first time since 1984.
2012 actually started off with some potential beating NC State and actually getting ranked for the first time in several years but after the Florida game went into the third quarter Tennessee had nothing else going for it that year and Dooley was gone after Tennessee was destroyed by Vanderbilt.

The Brawl in The Palace made watching the Pacers so painful. It killed my love for the team. I don't think I have watched a game since Reggie retired.
