Good news if so, if this was 2004 when they were interested in Takako Inoue id be worried about her future but having her in NXT will only be good things.

Is she the same Kana as this one? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kana_%28wrestler%29It says she is also a writer for Xbox Magazine and designs graphics for Nintendo DS and various mobile applications, while also owning a hair salon named Another Heaven in Yokohama. Urai is a fan of American culture and media, including bands such as Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith and Bon Jovi, movies like The Godfather, Gran Torino, Platoon and Dances with Wolves and video games such as the Call of Duty series and games from Rockstar Games. Is she this one? That's her.

I imagine for most wrestlers across the world, appearing in WWE at some point or another and in one capacity or another has to be on the bucket list. WWE is the single most prominent wrestling promotion on the planet, and if you can say you performed for them, you can say you did it all. And of course, on the monetary side of things, appearing in WWE almost certainly helps increase your asking price elsewhere. Ultimo Dragon, Sting, and now Liger all pretty much cited wanting to be able to wind their careers being able to say they had done at least one show for WWE-I can easily envision Kana having similar feelings on the matter. I also think you can really tell Triple H is trying to get a foot in the door with Japanese feds, maybe for a future tour through Japan or even for some sort of cross promoting. As I said in my first post, I really couldn't see Kana as a full time performer at this point-but with several of NXT's top women now going to the main roster full time, it would be a good time to bring someone like her in on a limited deal as a special attraction. I'd like to think it could also open the door to more joshi wrestlers appearing in NXT. Hoping it comes to fruition and works out for all concerned.

Am I the only one who was confused as to why there was a thread titled "Kane to WWE?" After looking--no I'm not.

What about those Gravure videos? No "problematic",right? As far as I'm aware she's never done nudity in those... and I have watched one. Kana would be the biggest signing yet for the women. They've hired Shimmer lower-midcarders (KC Cassidy, Emma), midcarders (Paige, Bayley, Blue Pants), an upper-midcarder (Jessie McKay) and a former main eventer a decade ago (Becky Lynch), but this would be the first actual main event, elite star. As good as the others are, and they are great, Kana is on a whole other level in terms of ring quality. Not to mention that she's drop dead gorgeous and one of the smartest women in wrestling today, someone who has rejected the Joshi system and promotes herself better than every other female. She's just an all round star, and if the WWE sign her (which would be odd as I can't imagine the models willing to take her super stiff kicks) she will make them a fortune.

I imagine she will have to ease up on them like Hideo had to. I can see Paige, Bayley, Blue Pants telling Kana to not ease up and go full tilt at them as they will be psyched just to get in the ring with her and given her tough family Paige might even take it as an insult if she goes soft on her! But yeah, I think she'd have to tone it down a bit and to be honest it might not be the worst idea ever. If I have one critisim of Shimmer is that sometimes the strong-style does get a little tedious as every match breaks down at one point to 'I hit you, you hit me, I hit you harder, you hit me harder, then you scream really loud and knock me off my feet'. Kana's an excellent technical wrestler too and could get by without her world famous strikes. To be honest a hard-hitting Kana-Hideo tag team would be beyond awesome. I love the fact that someone from the WWE has just woken up to the fact that the indies are full of attractive women working NXT-style incredible matches all the time and that they can just sign them and throw them on TV quicker than training models. I'm still holding out hope for Athena, Evie & Shida one day joining NXT! EDIT: Whoa, and just like that I just read a rumour that Athena might be signed by the WWE too! If these both happen then the NXT Womens Division might incredibly actually get better than it was with Sasha, Charlotte & Becky! squaredcirclesirens.com/athena-signs-with-wwe/

It makes sense that with all the big names in the NXT Womens division going to the main roster that they would try to restock. Never heard of Kana, but I love her look, in paint and out, and I would hope if her kicks are as sick as is alluded to, maybe Brie will give up on hers.

That'd be a surprise signing if it is indeed true, but well overdue. The Japanese joshi scene has been left surprisingly untapped during this massive upswing of NXT. Hikaru Shida and Nikki Storm did those tryouts. I am surprised wwe hasn't hit mexico either for women talent. The divas division is the most racially diverse division in wrestling.

Quick glance at her blog, she just says "there are people saying I had a try out, but I didn't", and that she'll give an update in a few days, which I guess doesn't really go against anything in the first post. Yeah, she said she didn't try out, not that she didn't get signed. Interesting way for her to say it the way that she did. Yeah, especially with needing a few days to update things. If there wasn't anything there, she wouldn't need a few days to update what's going on, could have ended it right there.
