From all the complaints from the boys saying they didn't want to work Thursday's and reading reviews on another site from 2000 Thunder's, it seems nothing of note that happened.
Were there ANY storyline progressions on the show? Maybe huge returns? nWo formations?
This is the ONLY thing I seem to remember from the 3 years Thunder was on the air:

1998, Thunder was can't miss television. Plenty of title changes/confrontations/match announcements happened.

Bret Hart's final "match" before his final WWE "matches" a decade later happened on Thunder. It was for some battle royal. Also, one of Bret's only interactions with the Hart Foundation happened on Thunder. If I recall, it was him and Luger vs Bulldog/Anvil. Pretty interesting to see them interact once more.
EDIT: I don't even know if Bret entered it. I just watched it again - he waffles Hogan with a chair and leaves. That's basically it for him in WCW.

"Fruit booty" getting blurred on signs and beeped in what had to be a "f*** you" from the Network.
More seriously: Thunder was tremendous until the WWE starting stomping Nitro out with extreme prejudice(and eventually adding Smackdown) then WCW just stopped trying with it and focused solely on Nitro, which was the only place that the big stars showed up by then. It was just bad business to focus exclusively on one show, but late period WCW couldn't get out of the way of their own two feet.

Did Flair win the world title on Thunder? I feel like there was some sort of world title battle royale.

I remember one of the late Thunders had 'the powers that be' or whoever interrogating Zybysko on Thunder about why Thunder wasn't doing so great or something and he basically pointed out what was wrong. None of the big names were showing up for it. Late Thunder was kind of like current Smackdown, it was just sort of there. Once in a blue moon something noteworthy might happen but it was rarely on purpose. In retrospect this should have been great for the mid card guys but it didn't really work out that way.

Goldberg killed the NWO during one of their beatdowns. He also shredded his tendon on their limo on Thunder.

David Arquette won the World Title on Thunder. I THOUGHT that was right. I'm glad I wasn't imagining things.

I'm reasonably certain that the Chris Jericho/Goldberg "feud" had Jericho's Spinal Tap moment on Thunder. Not 100% on that though

Sting cut his first promo after being silent for a year and a half on Thunder. That's what I was going to say! Promo is being generous. It was during a Hogan/Dillon segment - which involved him being stripped of the title he won at Starrcade '97, so there's another major happening for the Thunder checklist here - and he said a few words (called Dillon a coward, called Hogan a dead man). Ended with Schiavone loudly saying "STING HAS SPOKEN......WE'LL BE RIGHT BACK" and then commercial break.

Sting cut his first promo after being silent for a year and a half on Thunder. I still remember what he said pratically verbatim. Sting to JJ Dillon: You got no guts Tony: Omg hes talking Sting to Hogan: And you you're a dead man.

There was a hardcore match when Bret was champion against Terry Funk as commissioner that ended in a no-contest( ) when Nash powerbombed Funk through the stage. I don't f***ing know either. Seriously though originally, they did give a shit about Thunder, and then rapidly stopped giving a shit about Thunder.

Anyone have a link to the Thunder where Nash is on commentary and bashes Hacksaw Duggan all night?
